• Tradition of highly developed industry since XIX century

• Tradition of a parliamentary democracy (period between the two World Wars)

• Tradition of social solidarity + advanced system of social security since XIX century (Bismarck model)

• Tradition of Associative Life (culture of societies, guilds and fellowships, interrupted during the Soviet period)
