They realise cyber attacks can result in considerable financial and reputational losses to individual organisations which have hitherto acted alone in countering the threats and developing security countermeasures. This organisation aims to act as a body to share information about these threats and cyber criminals, and to create support among the victimised enterprises to provide better education and preparation against future attacks. The EU Directive on network information security will bring obligations upon your business, potentially including mandatory breach notifications. The World Economic Forum recently announced that executive leadership and failure to integrate “cyber” into risk management as major contributions to data breaches. Threat actors work and collaborate together as a network to fulfil their agenda, we need to do the same. The ICTTF aims to facilitate this ground for businesses to meet and formulate a plan of action against cyber-crime. It is simply not fair for a private enterprise to confront a nation state alone, in terms of support and resources. At ICTTF, we believe it takes a network to defeat a network. We are calling on senior leaders to directly participate or appoint a suitable senior person to join our cyber threat task force. This network will collaborate and work together to deal with cyber threats thus protecting Irish businesses and economy. We believe strong leadership can make this a fairer fight. We are inviting you to attend this restricted access, invite-only group. “We aim to create support among the victimised enterprises to provide better education and preparation against future attacks.”
