Cyber Intelligence in Business
“Business is either dependent on information technology at some level or delivers information technology products and services. Businesses are increasingly interconnected via an interoperability tapestry that is comprised of many technology, data, human and institutional components. The profusion of interconnections and interdependencies create many cyber security risk scenarios.
If a business does not include cyber security and cyber intelligence as an integral component to its value then it has a diminishing value each day forward as compared to those businesses that do so.”

Cyber Interoperability in Business
• In today’s digital business we use basic information systems:
• Write/edit/store documents
• Send and Receive data and voice signals over mobile devices
• Listen/View multi media (music, videos, etc.)
• Business and personal use of technology and data have overlapped – BYOD, IoT, etc.
• The technologies and data tools we use are vertically and horizontally interoperable –Microsoft, Google, Apple, etc.
• Each interoperable nexus is a cyber security concern and a growing cyber intelligence focus issue.

Innovation Trending Now: An Example
• Will Apple innovation actualize a move into competing with Intel?
• If so, this innovation may cause a new O/S to be created
• Other than obvious impact to Intel market share, what does it do to the ecology of tools, devices, services?
• It seems that it will surely multiply interoperable nexus concerns.
• With BYOD profusion it brings additional layers of cyber concern
