CWPRS celebrated its Centenary year on 4th October 2016 at CWPRS, Pune. Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Mohammad Hamid Ansari, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and delivered the Inaugural Address in the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister of WR,RD & GR Sushri Uma Bharti, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Hon’ble Minister of State WR,RD & GR, Dr. Amarjit Singh, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) MOWR, RD & GR. A commemorative postal stamp of Rs. Five, a coffee table book on “CWPRS - 100 years and beyond” highlighting the CWPRS contribution since 1916 and a Technical Compendium “CWPRS studies on Sardar Sarovar (Narmada) Project” highlighting various research studies carried out by CWPRS for Sardar Sarovar Project on Narmada river were released by Hon’ble Vice President of India during the occasion. Hon’ble Vice President of India also unfurled the foundation Stone for the new Centenary

Complex to be established under the National Hydrology Project during the function.
