Thank you to all who gave and filled shoeboxes

for Samaritan’s Purse this Christmas. The

Missions committee was able to send out 86

boxes filled with toys,

school supplies, hygiene

items and more to children

all around the world, along

with sharing the message of

joy and hope this Christmas.

candlelight service celebrating Christ’s birth,

through music and song and a message of hope.

will be a time of fellowship and

singing Christmas carols for those who

wish to remain at the Church. We will

serve hot chocolate and coffee when

Christmas Drama

WINGS will again sponsor an Angel Tree-This is a special Christmas tree decorated with gift tags and is located in the Narthex. Grab a gift tag off the tree and purchase the item listed. The Angel Tree gifts will go to Caitlin’s Smiles, a local foundation that will provide “Bags of Smiles” packages to children in hospitals undergoing cancer treatments. The packages for the children include Arts and Craft supplies to promote drawing, creative writing and sculpting. They also do family care kits that include items such as gas gift cards, restaurant cards and phone cards to help support the families during this difficult time. Deadline for gift purchases is January 11. The gifts do not need to be gift wrapped and should be placed in the collection boxes in the Narthex under the Angel Tree.

CVZ Offering Envelopes

Available for 2015

Those using CVZ Offering envelopes for your

weekly giving, the new 2015 envelopes will be

placed in your church mailbox.

If you are not currently using CVZ Offering

envelopes and would like to start this coming

year (Jan. 2015) please contact the office

921-8153 or cvzoffice@cvzec.org or place a

note requesting envelopes in Bob & Pat Lex’s

Church mailbox. Those who use CVZ offering

envelopes will receive a year end

giving statement.

Plans are underway for fundraising efforts in

helping to in send a mission team for 2 weeks

to Tanzania, Africa in June of 2016. Anyone

interested in being a part of the mission team

please see Gail Grubb or Lori Zehr. Our next

fundraiser will be a Valentine’s Banquet on

February 7th. Save the date for this special

delicious evening of food and fellowship. All

proceeds will benefit CVZ 2 Africa.
