General information

Dr Tung-Chai Ling is a Research Fellow with PolyU Technology & Consultancy

Company Limited (PTeC). Before rejoining PolyU early this year, he spent about 2 years

as lecturer with the School of Civil Engineering, University of Birmingham (UK). He has

2-and-a-half year’s Postdoctoral research experience at The Hong Kong Polytechnic

University. Dr Ling has specialized in the development of sustainable and

environmentally-friendly concrete products through innovative materials science and

engineering technology. Since 2009, he published in over 38 high impact peer-reviewed

journals with accumulative Impact Factor of 65.8 (based on 2012-ISI’s Web of

Knowledge JCR database). Besides a number of bibliographic conference papers and a

book, he has won a number of research and academic awards as well as two product

patents for his research work. He is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of
