INABENSA, New Delhi February 2012 – Till date

Deputy General Manager

Projects in progress:

Development of transmission system for Torrent Power Ltd. The total value for this project is USD 77 Million (INR 500 Cr). The project key requirements are to own, financing, development, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance on a long term basis.

Construction of 2 nos. of 220 kV AIS Substations at Pinjore (Haryana) and Panchkula (Haryana). The total value for this project is USD 8 Million (INR 55 Cr). The project key requirements are to design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of (1) 7 Nos of 220 kV Bays and 10 Nos of 66 kV bays with 2 x 100 MVA, 220/66 kV and 2 x 25/31.5 MVA 66/11 kV transformers. (2) 8 Nos of 220 kV Bays and 2 Nos of 66 kV bays with 2x100 MVA, 220/66 kV transformers.

Construction of 220kV and 66 kV transmission lines in the region of Mewat, Gurgaon, Bhiwani and Jind on turnkey basis. The total value for this project is USD 15 Million (INR 105 Cr).

Main Responsibilities:

The responsibilities comprises to lead Project Management and Business Development team for multiple projects of Substation and Transmission line projects aggregating approx. INR 700 Cr (USD 100 Million).

Overall project management and responsible for delivery of multiple projects from contract award to closure of project. My function is to plan, organize and control the multiple projects in order to achieve revenue goal set for the projects. Coordinate between all team members to deliver the project within contractual time period.

Initiate to prepare project synopsis, organization chart, project planning using MS-Project highlighting commercial milestones, budget and cash flow.

Participate in kick off meeting with team, prepare minutes and circulate to all stakeholders.

Develop high performance team according to organization chart requirement. Co-ordination with team members for effective resource utilization.

Monitoring of projects frequently and to reviewed with the risk checklist from the proposal phase and thereafter new risks identified upon analysis of the contract. To analyze the risk with team members and propose best solution to mitigate the risk.

To ensure timely Invoicing and revenue generation to maintain net cash-flow and profit.

Compliance with budget, contractual and client requirements including regular performance reviews of all contracts and the preparation & presentation of Management reports reflecting the status.

Contract administration including the preparation and management of progress and variation claims.

Interaction with client effectively and anticipates client needs and proposes alternative solutions. Manage customer relation and ensure good customer satisfaction.

Major Projects:

Construction of new 400kV / 220kV GIS Substation for 5X270 MW Thermal Power Projects of Indiabulls Realtech Ltd at Nashik, Maharastra, India. The total value for this project is USD 19 Million.

Construction of new 400kV SF6 Indoor GIS Substation for 382.5 MW Gas based Combined Cycle Power Project of Torrent Power Ltd, Baroda, Gujarat, India. The total value for this project is USD 7 Million.

Supply, Erection Supervision, Testing and Commissioning of (1) 220/132 kV GIS substation at Imlibun, (2) 132/33 kV GIS substation at Fever Hospital (Osmania University), (3) 132/33 kV GIS substation at Balkampet and (4) 1 no 132 kV GIS bay Extension at existing 132/33 kV Hussainsagar GIS substation. The total value for this project is USD 10 Million.

Supply, Erection Supervision, Testing & Commissioning of (1) 132kV GIS Bays for MRSS#2 (18 Bays), (2) MPDS#6 (7 Bays) and (3) MPDS#7 (12 Bays). The total value for this project is USD 1 Million.

Main Responsibilities:

In that position, I handled independently as Project in charge. I was responsible for project planning, scheduling, techno-commercial negotiations with vendors and subcontractors, client communication, contract management related to techno-commercial matter, monitoring project progress, preparation of project synopsis, organization chart, budget, project cash flow (CF) and there after monitoring and review of CF frequently, resolving day to day issues related to site / customer / subcontractors, Monitoring and controlling of indirect expenses, risk and opportunity identification and claim it to client with proper contract interpretation with evidence until contract closure. The responsibility includes interaction with various cross-functional teams of 12 from engineering design, purchase, logistics, finance, consultant and overseas Siemens testing engineers to achieve closure of projects. I was able to complete the above complex multiple GIS substation projects within contractual time period.

Participate in kick off meeting, review meetings and making presentation in client’s top management review meeting.

Co-ordination with purchase team for finalization of vendors and thereafter issuance purchase orders to meet with project schedule.

Review with external and internal design team to obtain all projects related engineering drawings, review and gets approval of these drawings from client to meet with project requirement.

Correspondences to various agencies in order to ensure the fulfillment of commercial milestones, contractual obligations and conditions.

Identification and selection of civil and erection subcontractors. Co-ordination with them for commencement of site activities on time. Weekly review of their works performance and if necessary to instruct them to revamp necessary resources to meet with project schedule requirement.

Co-ordinate with vendors for raising inspection call and participation in FAT.

To ensure timely Invoicing, maintain project cash-flow and L/C negotiation.

Preparation of quantity variation and contract amendment proposals, proposal for time extension and commercial amendment etc.

Main Responsibilities: In that position, I was direct responsible for detailed project planning, design review, interacting and communication

with client, contract management, selection of sub-contractors/vendors, site support during installation, project budget, cash-flow etc to meet with project goals.

Involved in the whole project progress flows such as, kick-off meeting, preliminary preparation on documents submission, co-ordination with engineering design team, procurement, vendor/subcontractor management, site progress meeting, commercial aspects, progress report, project progress claim/costing and testing & commissioning until handing over the project etc.

Main Responsibilities: In summary, I have been tasked to assist and report directly to General Manager in managing project

implementation, mainly in planning, scheduling, progress monitoring implementation and ensuring the progress of activities are in line with Schedules / Targets including Subcontractor works., preparation of MIS reports, invoicing towards the completion of the above multiple projects.

To coordinate, supervise and manage project drawings / documentations.

Preparation of Daily / Weekly / Monthly Progress report including M.I.S. reports.

Arranging FAT for various vendors for the supply of materials as per schedule.

Raising of RA bills and follow-up with client for payments.

Major Professional Achievements / Personnel asseto Successful delivery of 37 bays of 132kV GIS substation project for Tata Steel, the project scope includes supply,

erection, GIS supervision from German technician and commissioning. By proactively involving all stakeholders, all 37 GIS bays have been commissioned within 3 months and stipulated budget.

o Successfully monitored 7 nos. of transmission line projects, 500 kV HVDC Kolar - Talchar (2 lines of 300 Kms) and 400 kV Talchar (5 lines of 350 Kms). These lines were completed within contractual period.

o Successfully won first time BOOM project for Inabensa. It’s for development of transmission system for Torrent Power Ltd, the project scope includes built, own, operate, financing, design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, procurement, inspection, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance for 35 years. This project is worth of USD 77 Million (INR 500 Cr).

o Initiated to participate various bids in Indian state utilities (HVPNL, RRVPNL, MPPTCL, MSETCL, GETCO) by infusing new ideas to Management and won projects worth of USD 23 Million (INR 161 Cr).

o Successfully formulated JV with tower manufacturers for bid participation in Powergrid, India.
