programmes, government policy and internal staff campaigns. Editor of the council's in-house magazine and writer and photographer for the residents'

magazine. (Researching, writing and photography of 80% of the in-house magazine.) Producing a weekly communications email digest for all council staff. Researching, writing and submitting council award entries. Promoting council officers as event speakers.

Key Achievements: Redesigned staff magazine leading to 82% positive staff rating. Promoted Employee Forum which helped boost staff involvement in decision making. Secured scoops for the council's flagship residents' magazine, including interviews with

Hanif Kureishi and Catherine Tate. Project managed short-listed award entries for key service areas. Led on staff campaigns, such as lunchtime food recycling, which increased said

recycling rate by 27%.

Key Accountabilities: To promote and defend the work of the council to media to secure positive press coverage. Selling in positive stories to national media. Produced weekly press cuttings bulletin for councillors and directors. Evaluated and recommended media databases for council purchase. First point contact for council media enquiries.

Key Achievements: Secured feature coverage in trade press of Ealing's looked after children programme. Promoted Ealing's multi-million change programme to press, radio, TV and trade press. Secured national TV coverage of Ealing's stick the gum to the celebrity posters. Improved effectiveness of the press team through purchase of media databases. Achieved coverage on BBC and ITV news bulletins and in national, regional and trade

press, with a range of positive council news stories (e.g. Ealing Summer Festival).
