We also had a large number of sales to be made in home insurance and getting quotes for home insurance was also an important part of my position.

My position within the company is a TOTE operator. I take bets throughout the night in a fast paced and stressful environment. It is a position I have held for over eight years. This position includes having to reach a number of targets including serving numerous customers in under ten minutes and getting punters to buy our bet specials. Communication and building customer rapport is vital as is customer service and working as a team. I also help train new starters. An important trait with this job is to not be knocked back by rejection of a sale.Duties:

LIDL (Jan 2015- Aug 2015): SALES ASSISTANTMy position within the company was a sales assistant. Good communication skills were needed as we were in constant contact with reps in England. Computer skills were also needed as dimensions and drawings had to be made and rectified. Communication over the phone, fax machine and email also played a massive part in the day to day workings of the job. Being able to reach numerous targets throughout the week were very important.DUTIES:

Check emails, messages and faxes for updates on jobs or changes to contracts. Make contact with reps to see what they might need done. Send on completed work which reps may need. File away completed work properly after completion and sign it off. Team check to see if anyone needs help on contracts which are needed immediately.

GALA SUPERMARKET MOUNTHAWK (APRIL2010-OCT2013): Sales AssistantMy position within the company was a sales assistant. This included working on tills, stock replenishment, working on the deli, closing the shop and helping with cashing up the tills. This was a shop which had many local customers with a lot of competition so customer service and being able to create relationships with customers was vital.DUTIES:
