responsible for the Technology Institute of the City of Barcelona (IMI), Smart City policy, Data strategy, and Digital Innovation Ecosystem development and promotion. 2019-ongoing Nesta, UK Innovation Foundation Senior Project Lead in the Nesta Innovation Lab. Nesta is an innovation Foundation based in the UK. The organisation acts through a combination of programmes, investment, policy and research, and the formation of partnerships to promote innovation across a broad range of sectors, managing a £250 million endowment from the UK National Lottery, leading projects with the European Commission on Research & Innovation Policy, Horizon 2020, StartUp Europe, Digital Social Innovation; Arts and R&D Fund, Nesta Impact Investments. Global collaborations on digital government, data policy, smart cities, digital innovation. Francesca is leading the DECODE project, a 5ML EU flagship research and innovation project with 14 partners on data sovereignty in Europe.
