4.1Use of Imagery
Images on front covers should follow the following criteria:
• Have enough white space at the top of the picture to incorporate the document headlineor Have plenty of room at the top of the image to fade white over the image without infringing on the focus of that image. This is to allow enough space for the document headline.
• Creatively cropped
• Include people (where appropriate)
Below are examples of suitable imagery.
4.2Brochures and Leaflets
The purpose of a front cover is to attract the attention of the reader and inform. By creatively combining high-quality picture material with the elements of our visual identity, colours, the logo we can achieve this and create a strong group identity.
4.3Example Page Layout
This page shows a typical layout for an A5 leaflet and should be used for inspiration only.
4.4Corporate Band Element
The corporate band element previously seen on various pieces of collateral has now been adapted for use on all A4, A5 and DL leaflets. The new corporate band has been designed to give maximum room to the logo and strapline and any secondary headlines that may be required. Do not stretch or compress the corporate band either vertically or horizontally while scaling. The secondary band must always be yellow, only the primary band changes colour to suit the area of business.
