groups of up to 220 students at the Oxford Royale Summer School. Worked alongside students and staff from across the globe to deliver the best summer education

programme possible. Role Involved delivering daily staff briefings as well as speeches to audiences of up to 250. Line manager for up to 12 staff per shift and performed role of staff leader during off-campus

excursions. Required high level organisational and administrative skills.

July and August 2012: Tour Guide with Oxford Walking Tours, Oxford Gave guided tours of Oxford to members of the public including large groups of international

students. Organised and ran evening ghost tours of the city narrating stories of Oxford’s haunted past.

Wrote internal university press releases reporting on talks given by visiting industry professionals. Role also involved collating, standardising and editing those written by other students.

February 2015: Publications Department – Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Week-long work experience position in Publications and Brand Content Management

department of RSPCA’s head office, Horsham, Sussex. Role involved writing copy for articles in RSPCA’s magazines ‘Animal Life’ and ‘Animal Action’,

researching magazine story ideas, fact finding, and liaising with other national charities

February – March 2015: Sustainable Palm Oil Research Assistant – Cameroon 2-month research placement in association with CIFOR (Centre for International Forestry

Research) and the University of Cambridge . Conducted interviews with government officials, as well as regional and international NGO

representatives (including WWF, IUCN, ZSL and Greenpeace) across Cameroon as part of a research project into sustainable land use in west African palm oil development.

September-December 2014: Education Research Intern, RSPCA Ran sessions on animal welfare and environmental education for children, young families and

vulnerable young people at the RSPCA’s Mallydams Wood Wildlife Centre (Hastings, Sussex). Position involved extended research project into the efficacy of the centre’s education practices. Photographed animals in care at Wildlife Centre and was responsible for much of the centre’s

social media output.
