RESEARCH AND OTHER EXTERNAL SUPPORT:

Eleven years of experience in experimental surgery performing pancreas and liver transplantation

in pig. Since January 1991 started small intestinal transplantation in dog and pig. The pancreas

transplant project is supplemented partially by Novo Nordisk Research Institute (approximately

$150,000). In 1995 a project on segmental liver transplantation in dog started. Also, in 1995

another project on influence of cholestasis on liver resection in pig was started.
