01 Created a fully automated library using SOUL 2.0 Software.

02 Implemented Bar Code Technology in lending operations.

03 Completed data entry work of the entire collection of library without outsourcing.

04 All teaching departments including administrative block are connected with

Central library through LAN.

05 Established a Digital Library with 15 Personal Computers specifically for In

House Operations and Digitization of Resources.

06 Established an E-Resource centre with 50 PCs to provide access to e-resources

available on public domain and on subscription.

07 Developed a separate section of newspapers collection since 1968.

08 Compiled newspaper clippings of the news related to university published in

various newspapers.

09 Created OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) and Digital resources available

on the campus network and also on web.

10 Enabling access to Web of Science, Wiley Online, DOAJ, DOAB and Project

Gutenberg through library webpage.

11 Enabling access to more than 8000 e-journals through INFLIBNET.

12 Installation of CC Cameras at all floors and in all sections of the library for

security purpose.

13 Installation of Fire distinguishers at every floor of the library.

14 Developed an Institutional Repository on DSpace to provide access to all the

books written by the faculty members of the university campus, Research Papers

of faculty members presented/published in Conferences/Journals and the question

papers of all courses being run in university.

15 Digitized all rare books of library to preserve for longer period.

16 Provided Laminated Master cards with Bar Code to all members of the library.

This Master Card serves many purposes like Identity Card, Library Membership

Card and the Borrower Card.

17 More than 3000 Ph.D. theses have been digitized and merged with Shodhganga

Project of INFLIBNET.

18 Established Department of Library & Information Science under Self Finance

Scheme and started two courses BLISc and MLISc since 2004.

19 Established NPTEL (National Programme Through Enhanced Learning) local

chapter in university and designated as SPOC-NPTEL.

20 Introduced Library and Information Science as Subsidiary Subject at Graduate

Level (B.A.) in all affiliated colleges of Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut

from Academic Session 2017-2018.

21 RFID 3M Security Device installed in February 2018 and Tattle Taps are provided

in each book.

22 Separate Division is established in Library to display the books written by

University Campus Teachers.

23 Special Reading Area is developed for Differently Able Persons and Girls

separately.
