Family Star Wars Night

Dawgwood Ballroom
Master Jedi will bring inflatable sabers (for safety) and lead the kids through
a Jedi training academy, themed games, picture posing with his
authentic lightsaber and a demonstration of the force (magic
show). Darth Vader will interrupt the
Jedi training and try persuade the younglings to go over to the dark side and the Jedi will lead them through a confrontation to resist and defeat the
dark side. Using their new Jedi powers, they will also force Darth Vader to pose for photos. Also, there will be a Storm Trooper to pose for photos. Includes
snacks and blue milk.

Evening of Swing
Saturday, March 25 n 6:30-11 p.m.
Guests will enjoy an evening of ‘40s era swing music by the Weekend
Getaway Band, as well as period cocktails and drinks. Attendees will dine on a full buffet, including a shrimp and
oyster bar, chef-carved Beef Wellington, roasted salmon, chicken marsala, salad,
an array of vegetables and a grand dessert bar. Prizes will be awarded to
the top three for best costume, judged by The Georgia Club and Classic
Center staff.
Employee of the Month
Molly Hatchcock is well loved by the members for her sweet smile
and great personality. She is willing to step up to help as needed and always eager to help her fellow
employees.
Ben Stewart has been with the club for well over a year. Ben is the friendly face of the brunch omelet station, he is always willing to go above and beyond to make our
brunch guests very happy. During the week Ben works the sauté station. He always does what it
takes to get the job done. We look forward to working with Ben for
years to come.

Celebrity Golf Classic & Dinner
Friday, April 21
Golf tournament, 9 a.m. Dinner, 6:30 p.m. n Dawgwood Ballroom
Former NFL and UGA player and current ESPN College GameDay
broadcaster, David Pollack, will host the second annual Pollack Family
Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic and Dinner at The Georgia Club. This event will be held the day before the annual G-day Spring football game in Athens
and will be a great way to start the weekend by playing in the golf
tournament and/or attending the dinner event. Proceeds from the event will
benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta through the Pollack Family Foundation.

Focuses on giving young players the proper tools to be able to play
the game at a high level in their future. The seven fundamental shots will be
broken down and taught to our young players with a strong emphasis on
balance and control and mastering the parameters of each stroke. They will be working on being “brilliant
with the basics!”
Middle/High School Academy Tuesday & Thursday n 5-6:30 p.m.
Members, $20/class Non-Members, $25/class
Focuses on technique and learning/ developing the seven fundamental shots. Additional emphasis
will be on teaching ball control in rally situations; therefore,
more game based drills will be introduced at this level. Singles
and doubles play will be taught and players will be encouraged
to play team tennis on a Georgia Club Junior Team!
