Curating for individual schools in a shared collection

• Individual schools who belong to a shared collection (Advantage schools) can now curate for Sora.

• Display titles from your individual collection, the shared collection, or a mix.

• Your curated collections appear for your students only.

• Content access levels are in place on collections you curate.

RECAP: Curating in Sora

• Available for:

• Stand-alone schools,

• Shared collections, or

• Individual schools who are part of a shared collection (Advantage schools).

• Need OverDrive Marketplace curating permissions.

• Great for highlighting titles and encouraging student discovery of content.

• Create collections to support events, school initiatives, classroom use, and more.

What is a title assignment?

• A tool in OverDrive Marketplace used to assign titles to students for a specific period of time.

• Titles are automatically checked out on the start date and expire on the end date.

• Students cannot early return a Title Assignment.

Assigning titles in Sora RECAP:

• Reminder: Schools that are part of a shared collection can only assign titles from their individual collection (Advantage titles).

• Great to have in advance: Student IDs and your start/end dates.

• Pro tip: Run a Title Status and Usage report to check the number of copies you own for a particular title.
