Croatian national costume

Croatian national costume is a traditional costume worn by Croatian

men and women throughout the history. Each region has its own

traditional costume. Some of them are very elaborate, rich and of

various patterns, but some of them are very simple (depending on

the social status of the owner). Women’s national costume of our

region, Podravina, consists of simple white linen shirt, white or red

(in some villages even purple, green or blue) skirt and black apron.

They also wore colourful shawls around their shoulders.
