‘Carn d’ Olla’ is the typical dinner in Catalonia. It is made with beans, carrot, potatoes , wimps and sausages. It is delicious.

Bread with tomato: you can add Spanish ham, Mmmm!! So good!

Sausages with Beans is very typical in Catalonia. It has got one barbaque sausage and the beans cooked with oil and bacon.

Crema Catalana is one of the famous meals in Catalonia. The ingredients for this wonderful plate of food are: 200gr of flour, 5 scoops of cream , some eggs and some sugar.

The “Diables” are people that do games with fire and firecrackers : the ”Diables” have got

“diableses” and evils.  

The catalan donkey is a symbol from Catalonia, because after the donkey was very useful. The

Catalan donkey is in the flag of Granollers.

The “castellers” are people that do human towers. The Castellers is a big mountain of

people. The bottom people hold the ones who go up.

The “Sardanes” is a typical dance from Catalonia, in the parties fathers and mothers dance this.

Sant Jordi is a traditional party party where you buy a present for you girlfriend or boyfriend. Saint Jordi is a party in April. It´s very famous

party, It´s a leyend.

The Giants is a very important costume in the towns like Granollers : the giants are very big and funny.

The “capgrossos” are people that got a very big head and very little body.

The ”pastorets” is a typical farmers that live in the mountains with his animals.

The “Tió” is a part of a tree that comes in winter and gives presents. The Tió is a party in Spain that

is celebrated the winter.

Antonio Gaudí: He’s a very importan architect in Catalonia. He designed the Holly Family , the Batllo House, The Guell Park, the

Pedrera House and the Dragon stairs with the fountain in Guell Park.

Joan Maragall: He is a famous writer in Catalonia. He wrote lots of poems.

Dalí: He was a very famous subrealist artist, he wrote very well and he had got a very long

moustache. He always was wearing a crane and a hat.

Artur Mas: He’s a very important person. He is the president of Catalonia and he is a very

independent person.

Sant Jordi: He is a very important character’ legend. He killed a dragon and he saved a princess. The Princess and Sant Jordi were lovers but he left

the princess to save all the world.
