    Oye Mi Canto – Listen to My Cry It’s the exclamation of The Social Revolución: an interactive movement of Latinos using social media as their platform to create change. Through hashtags, pixels, or live updates, these ambitious individuals have used social media to spread ideas, foster communities and inspire a worldwide audience into action. PREMIERING AS THE OFFICIAL LATINO EVENT AT SXSW INTERACTIVE, THE SOCIAL REVOLUCIÓN WILL RECOGNIZE AND CELEBRATE THESE ONLINE CRIES HAPPENING IN CURRENT CULTURAL SHIFTS AND TRENDS, INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL CAUSES, AND THROUGH THE MONUMENTAL VISIONS OF INDIVIDUALS. So let it be heard, let it be no longer ignored - Oye el canto of The Social Revolución.

    • THE SOCIAL REVOLUCIÓN/REVOLUCIONARIO AWARDS ONLINE CAMPAIGN WILL LAUNCH ON JANUARY 24, 2012.

    •NOMINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT WWW.THESOCIALREVOLUCION.COM.

    •SIX RECIPIENTS OF THE REVOLCIONARIO AWARDS WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED AND RECOGNIZED.

    In the months prior to SXSWi, we will launch an online campaign to select the top Latino individuals and/or organizations who are mobilizing, spreading information, and creating change online to be recognized in The Revolucionario Awards on the day of our event. We will have six individuals or organizations recognized, two from each of the following categories: New Latino (offering cultural shifts online), Mobilizing (causes), and Technology (innovation).
