THE MINUTE OF THE CULTURAL FIESTA PROTOCOL/LOGISTICS SUB COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON THE 15 TH DAY OF JUNE 2015 COMMENCEMENT/OPENING PRAYER: The meeting commenced at exactly 6:03pm with an Opening Prayer Led by Mr. Christian Johnson ATTENDANCE: The Meeting was attended by the entire five members of the committee and they are: Ogbuefi Otteh Ikechukwu === Head Mr. Chritian Johnson === Secretary Mr. Nduayan Peter === Member Mr. Francis Ekwalor === Member Mr. Gbenga Adewuyi === Member TERMS OF REFERENCE: The Committee is saddled with the task of DELIBERATIONS: The deliberations of the day were as follows: ORDER OF IDENTIFICATION (GROUP REPRESENTATION): We deliberated and came up with three orders which we deem are subjected to the final decision by the house. The three Orders are as follows : a.)ZONING: This will be in consonance with the constitutional division into six zones in Nigeria which are SOUTH SOUTH, SOUTH EAST, SOUTH WEST, NORTH CENTRAL, NORTH EAST NORTH WEST. This is to enable every part of the ethnic have a feeling of equal identification without seeming specific on some states or tribes. b.) STATES: This will be in accordance with the 36 states of the federation whereas all spilled tribes i.e., IJAW and Itshekiri which could be found in revering states will identify strictly with their states.. c.) TRIBAL: In order for feelings of equal importance and sense of belonging by the diverse tribes with the different unique customs found in the parish, we deem the tribal order considerable too as it will aid in touching specifically on every individual family deposited in all the tribes obtainable here in our Parish and the Country at Large. 2.) ACTIVITIES: We outlined some activities to make the day a colourful one and the activities are: a.) MARCH PAST: We agreed that there will be a march past by the various participants according to the order finally approved by the house so as to make the day a colorful one. All groups are expected to decide on their march past pattern and mode (CULTUR AL INSTRUMENTS). b.) NATIVE MOCK NEWS: This is a rendition of the news which will be done by some children from the different groups…Though we intend it to be done by a pick from a secret bag so as to check monotony and boredom. c.) INTRODUCTION OF ITEMS: This will also be done by the Children who will introduce some items to everyone present in their native Languages. It is intended to test how familiar the kids are with their language as part of their culture. This will be the alternative choice to the mock news; it is dependent on the pick of the Children from the secret bag. 3.) SITTING ARRANGEMENT: The sitting arrangement we agreed, will be dependent on the agreed order of identification agreed by the house… though whatever it is, each group will be financially responsible to

THEME FOR THE FIESTA: In addition to the THEMEs suggested in the general meeting by Mr. Andrew Onwuna which: THAT THEY MAY BE ONE”, “CELEBRATING LOVE IN DIVERSITY”, and “UNITY & LOVE; GREAT VIRTUES, One of us, Mr. Peter Nduanyan suggested another theme which we think could also be considered and it is “FESTIVAL OF UNITY”…In the colourful beauty of the multiple suggested themes, we deemed conclusion on it deferred. Other Deliberations within our scope were adjourned…ADJOURNMENT:The Move for adjournment was made by Mr. Peter Nduayan and Seconded by Mr. Gbenga AdewuyiCLOSING PRAYER:The Meeting ended with a closing Prayer led by The Head, Mr. Otteh Ikechuckwu at exactly 7:30pm.
