With the cooperation of cultural Minister, the State Government had been making efforts to include Chhattisgarhi language in the Eighth Schedule.

The Chhattisgarh MPs will be urged to raise the language issue in Parliament at regular intervals. It is only a matter of time that it will be included in the

Eighth Schedule.

There was an urge by the Chhattisgarhi intellectuals, writers and literary figures to make the issue prominent in the eyes of public.

After the implementation people will be proud while speaking in Chhattisgarhi and make it a language of all.

The State Government has hiked the monthly honorarium (Samman Rashi) for 'Manjhi' and 'Chalaki' of Bastar Dussehra by 35 per cent.

The hiked amounts of honorarium will be payable from current fiscal year itself. It is noteworthy that 'manjhi' and 'chalaki' are the persons who actively participate and perform the riturals of world famour Bastar

Dussehra.

The Chhattisgarh State Government had opened the gates of Forest Reserves, National Parks and Tiger Reserves for the tourists since 1 October to encourage

'Nature Tourism' in the State.

In the state, the Forest Protection/Conservation Week is also being observed. As the state of Chhattisgarh is rich in natural resources therefore the citizens of

Chhattisgarh must also protect the rich Bio-Diversity and wild animals.
