The origin of the dumplings 饺子是深受中国汉族人民喜爱的传统特色食品，相传是我国医圣张仲景首先发明的，饺子也是北方的年节食品，在中国北方很多地方都有冬至吃饺子的习惯。中国南方地区也普遍有饺子这一食品。

The dumplings are traditional Chinese food. It is loved by Chinese people. It was said that the dumplings was invented by Zhang Zhongjing. He was a famous doctor in ancient times. Dumplings are very popular in the north of China. We often eat them in Spring Festival.

The kinds of dumplings • 饺子因其用馅不同名称也五花八门，因成熟方式不同分为煎饺、炸饺、蒸饺、水饺等。另外，饺子，已走向世界，深受世界各国人民的喜爱。如日本饺子、朝鲜饺子、韩国饺子、越南饺子、墨西哥饺子等。

The Dumplings have different names because of the different Xian( the things inside the dumplings). We can call them “ Pan-fried Dumplings”, “Fried Dumplings”, “Steamed Dumplings,” “ Boiled Dumplings”. The dumplings have been loved by other country’s people. Such as Korea, Vietnam, Mexico.
