THE STORY BEHIND RAWW
Unknown to many, the idea of RAWW was born a couple years
after Founder, Diana Diaz, suffered from severe anxiety and
insomnia. Like many people, she struggled tremendously with
the idea of “getting help”. She convinced herself that it was the
right thing to do, and thank goodness she did because she
learned tremendously about herself and her condition. With the
right tools and support, she was able to take control of her
anxiety and take back her life. She didn’t know it then but what
she thought was a hindrance in her career path to the public
sector, was actually a pivotal moment to discovering her true
purpose in life. Her experiences and lessons learned motivated
her to create RAWW and be part of a bigger effort to empower
women.
Diana was recently awarded the ‘Spirit of Women Award’ from
Saint Agnes Medical Center, in partnership with ABC30. The
award is bestowed upon women within the community who
utilize their unique gifts and abilities to make a difference in the
lives of those around them. She is a wife, mother of twins, friend,
founder and entrepreneur. But Diana also prides herself on
being a small town Latina and daughter of farmworkers from the
Central Valley’s unincorporated community of Five Points. With
RAWW, she has begun to build a network that gives women the
tools and support they need to achieve satisfaction in all
aspects of their lives. She expects RAWW to grow from its Fresno
roots and spread throughout the state and country.

ABOUT RAWW
RAWW (Real Authentic Women Wellness) is a 501(c)(3)
educational nonprofit that promotes the comprehensive
wellbeing of women. Our mission is to enhance a woman’s
mental, physical, sexual and spiritual health and help women
connect to their life’s purpose.
Maintaining an optimal level of wellness is vital to achieving a
higher quality of life. However, today’s definition of ‘wellness’
oftentimes excludes elements that are essential, many times
because of their taboo-stricken nature. Even some of the most
inclusive wellness models fail to directly include one of the most
crucial aspect in a woman’s wellbeing: sexual health. This is why
we developed our five fundamental pillars that drive our mission
and allow us to deliver tailored and focused information.
RAWW’s vision is to play a significant role in breaking down
cultural barriers and taboos surrounding women’s wellness,
especially within our minority communities. We strive to make
uncomfortable conversations about sex and anxiety a thing of
the past and move towards a more progressive and educated
community where women (and men) are empowered to live a
‘real and authentic’ life.
The concept is simple: to create a welcoming space for women
to talk about important issues that are not typically discussed
openly (such as anxiety, depression, weight, sex). We do this
through our revolutionary women-centric speaker series
RAWWTalks and our exclusive capacity development program,
RAWWTraining, both utilizing the best, most dynamic experts on
the topics.

RAWWTALKS

RAWWTALKS
RAWWTalks is a women-centric series of events that combines
the social and educational aspects. This is in essence the
primary platform where women can come together to openly
and comfortably talk about both issues that have always
affected them as well as issues that are prevalent in current
times. Provocative topics, such as those related to a woman’s
mental and sexual health, tend to be only discussed within a
doctor’s office, and while RAWW 100% supports and
encourages these traditional methods, RAWWTalks is a way for
women to become aware and gain knowledge while being in
a more social and therefore less intimidating environment.
Truth is, although women have lots of questions, many might not
choose to seek answers due to feelings of shame and
embarrassment. This inability to freely exercise our curiosity limits
women from reaching their full wellness potential. We believe
that women have the right to achieve satisfaction in all
capacities. The event is broken down into three parts: (1) the
wellness hour (2) first Speaker (3) second Speaker.

TESTIMONIALS
“Thank you for the awesome RAWWTalk this past Saturday -- this
movement is truly a culture shifter that we all benefit from in our
region!! Thank you for going out on a limb in founding RAWW.”
- Morghan
“Last night was so POWERFUL. I’ve been wrestling with the
emotions this stirred up for me, and it has me diving deeper into
my own story. The pieces that are easy to accept, and the
pieces that I still struggle to own or identify out of pain and fear.
I am feeling reaffirmed at how much owning our FULL stories is
the only way we can be effective and authentic leaders. Thank
you @therawwnetwork for your hard work bringing these events
and powerhouse women to our community, for breaking down
stigmas and creating a true safe space, and thank you Sarahi
and Melissa for being RAWW with us and inspiring us with your
experiences.” - Nikki
“Safe spaces where shame is shaken and taboos are trashed
makes my soul sing. Last night at RAWW Talks by RAWW - Real
Authentic Women Wellness in Fresno, California, we witnessed a
chorus thanks to the amazingly brave, bold and badass RAWW
team, led by the fiercely passionate Founder Diana Diaz and
Board President Liz Fraire. The space was so thoughtfully
organized to ensure attendees were taken care of and
supported for a night of authenticity. We got real and raw about
topics of breaking down barriers for undocumented youth,
creating pathways for women of color to thrive, breaking the
silence around childhood sexual trauma and the importance of
supporting the sexual health of children. The Q&As after our talks
were on fire. Healing and hope was alive last night— laughter,
tears, lots of warm hugs, connection, knowledge sharing, and
women breaking their silence. This event is a movement and I
am beyond honored and grateful to have been a part of it.
Thank you so so much to the RAWW team for creating this
opportunity in communities, the wonderful vendors and
organizations that showed up to be valuable supports, and all
who attended with hearts wide open, sharing your truths and
believing in the greatness that lies within and around us.” -

“I think a lot of why people were comfortable asking questions
is that you have established your brand as one of bringing in
experts and creating trust. And I think Melissa did an amazing
job of bringing in the vulnerability in a really protective manner
and showed another example of trust. And people felt that it
was a safe place immediately. They didn’t have to warm into it,
not knowing who you are or what they were getting into. And
that’s such a huge testament to your vision and core beliefs for
your business. You are definitely succeeding! And the line of
women to speak with Melissa after the event”
-Angela
“Being a Dreamer and having DACA, I was profoundly
impacted by Sarahi’s story. I felt as if there were many similarities
which made me hopeful. I appreciated every word of advice
she shared. Even though I have no kids Melissa’s talk about
sexual health was a huge eye opener in how I don’t necessarily
have to have kids we all can be caring human beings to help
the world be better in ensuring all kids safety.”
- Mariela
“Up at 6am and I’m processing last night’s RAWWTalk.. Wow!!
This is my second RAWW Talk but my first Talk being a Board
Member. Seeing women together empowering one another,
being present with one another and being able to show
vulnerability with such RAWW topics... reassured me that we are
doing it right!” - Roxanne
“This was an incredibly well executed event that left me feeling
connected to sisters I had never met before. There was such a
powerful vibe in the air of connectedness, love and
camaraderie that hit me the moment I stepped through the
doors. Super emotional, powerful speakers whose personal
journeys resonated with me and made me recognize how
important it is to have a voice and support organizations who
are trying to make a difference in these areas. Lastly, it left me
with the overwhelming need to share my own personal story of
childhood rape and trauma as well as domestic violence in
order to empower and give hope to women who have suffered
or are still suffering in these areas.” - Kellie

THE EDGE

THE EDGE
SPEAKERS
A unique edge to our RAWWTalks is that each speaker is
intensely screened in advanced, not only to ensure that the
content they present aligns with our mission, but that it is set up
to be delivered in the most relevant, effective and compelling
way to fully engage the audience. While there are many
qualified experts in the field of women’s wellness, not all are fit
to deliver a one-of-a-kind impactful talk: the best expert is not
necessarily the best communicator. With this in mind, RAWW
continues to cultivate a community of experts that are dynamic
facilitators and can authentically connect with their listeners
through storytelling and the use of simple concepts and images.
Bye-bye, cookie-cutter presentations. Hello, life-changing talks!

PARTNER ADVANTAGE
RAWW stands behind the belief that mutual benefit yields
greater impact. For this reason, we only seek funders whose
mission directly align with ours. This means that as a nonprofit,
we have to say no to sponsorship opportunities that simply do
not make sense, even if that means saying no to larger amounts
of money. As a result, all of our partners are highly invested in
our mission and genuinely care for the wellbeing of the women
in our community. What does this mean for our partners? It
means partners have real exclusivity and will benefit from
having quality time with event attendees, without the
distraction of having to visit a long line of partially irrelevant
booths to the sake of checking them out. Our guests know that
all of the business and organizations that are at a RAWWTalk are
there for a very good reason – to offer quality resources and/or
high-quality high-caliber products.
THE WELLNESS SESSION
Recently extended to 2 hours, the wellness session offers
attendees the opportunity to relax through a variety of event
amenities such as our minute chair massages provided by highly
skilled massage therapists, mini yoga sessions, aroma therapy,
beauty treatments, and wine – for those who decide to unwind
with a small glass of chardonnay. To add to the one-of-a-kind
experience, food is catered by RAW Fresno: the only gourmet
raw and vegan cuisine in Fresno, made from the finest locally
grown ingredients. For many, this will be the first time they ever
tasted and loved vegan cuisine.

OUR WORK ETHIC

OUR WORK ETHIC
Simply stated, we genuinely care about the people we serve.
We are 100% confident that our work, products and
experiences are put forth with the highest quality and
standards. We don’t settle for good. We aim for transformative.
Here are a couple of many testimonials we have received:
In my 20 plus years, I have had the privilege of speaking
at events in the United States, Canada and Australia.
The event hosted by RAWW was by far the best
experience I have ever had. The pre-event discussions
of expectations for my part in the event, along with the
organization, focus and passion of the board of
directors far exceeded anything I have ever been
involved with! The amazing women who attended
were fully present and attentive. Because of the focus
and openness of all who were there that night, I was
able to truly be open, honest, and yes…RAWW! This will
forever be a highlight in my professional speaking
career. And it will be an event that will be hard to top.
To all who were involved, I salute you, for those who
attended and left a changed woman, I applaud you.
Thank you for selecting me to speak at such a
transformational event.

Being able to be part of the RAWW experience in any
capacity is an honor. Not only did I have the privilege
of speaking at the first 2018 RAWWTalk but I also had
the opportunity to sit and be an attendee as well and
take in the information from the other speakers. The
night in itself was so fulfilling both mentally and
spiritually and being able to connect with women of
various fields is always one of my most favorite things to
be part of. In addition, the RAWW team has an
immense understanding of hospitality that was above
and beyond all of my expectations, they make sure
you are taken care of, comfortable and able to deliver
your best self and I honestly feel like I was able to do
that because of my experience with the team. Overall,
this is a process that has been one of my favorites this
year and I look forward to being connected in the
future.
