Enlarged WC Cubicles:

Where there are 4 or more cubicles ina washroom, one of these must be anenlarged cubicle.

Enlarged cubicles must be a minimumwidth of 1200mm and include an outwardopening door.

A horizontal and vertical grab rail set isrequired around the WC.

Standard Toilet Cubicles:

All standard cubicles must now havea minimum of 450mm diametermanoeuvring space within the cubicle.

Indicator-bolts must be capable of beingoperated with a closed fist (single action)- and doors must allow for emergencyaccess should the user collapse andbecome trapped in the cubicle.

Ambulant Disabled Cubicles:

Every same-sex washroom must have atleast one wc cubicle that is suitable forthe ambulant disabled.

If there is only one cubicle in thewashroom this must be suitable for anambulant disabled person.

The ambulant disabled cubicle mustinclude an outward opening door.

Wheelchair Accessible Cubicles:

The wheelchair accessible layout has been modifiedto accommodate an overall toilet cubicle length of2220mm (previously 2000mm).

The door opening needs to be 900mm with a950mm (wide) outward opening door.
