CTS

Limited footprint, limitless opportunities

This will have a major impact on the viability of drilling operations, especially in those areas of the world that have been deemed as being particularly environmentally sensitive.

A DECADE OF PROVEN TECHNOLOGYMore than ten years of proven techno-logy in drilling-waste management went into the development of CTS - that means reliability and efficiency that you can count on.

THE CTS® OFFERS A HOST OF BENEFITS INCLUDING:

• Ability to take cuttings 2km (1.2miles) away from the pump, a far greater distance than other systems on the market

• Modular design means easy installation

• Limited footprint required for installation

• Elimination of cuttings build-up on templates

• No supply vessel required

• Can be used in environmentally sensitive areas, opening up new drilling opportunities

• Pump technology enables the transportation of large-diameter drill cuttings

• Removes cuttings, cement, mud and clay deposits.

What is CTS?The Cutting Transportation System (CTS) from Enhanced Drilling enables you to take cuttings away from the well area during top-hole drilling on semi-submersible rigs, as well as during clean-up operations on the seabed.

Proven in the toughest environmentsReliability when you need it most.

The CTS from Enhanced Drilling embodies the very essence of our company: an innovative, technological solution that not only delivers cost benefits but also drastically reduces any negative effect on the environment.

THE CTS™ HELPS OPEN NEW DRILLING OPPORTUNITIES The system has been designed to keep running constantly, without maintenance, for long periods of time. It is able to pump large particles WITHOUT causing blockages in the system.

The CTS will take the cuttings up to 2km (1.2miles) away from the actual pump unit.

MINIMAL IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENTOne of the main benefits to our customers is the elimination of the need for a supply vessel, plus of course the equipment can be used in environmentally sensitive areas as little or no footprint is created.

KEEPS ON RUNNING The CTS has been designed to keep going, without maintenance, for long periods of time.

Used on 400 wells around the world - and counting Power when you need it

CTS - TAKING IT FURTHERThe CTS is based on a powerful and versatile subsea electrical-driven pump. The system’s standard configuration is based on an ejector pump which allows operations in water up to 2,000m (6,560ft) deep.

The system consists of a control container, a cable winch and a submersible module with an electric motor and a pump.

CTS TAKES IT FURTHERAppropriate hoses are fitted, depending on the location, and the disposal area is configured.

Additionally, disc pumps can also be provided and used, increasing the distance at which the cuttings and waste are taken from the well area.

Once operations commence, the velocity in the hoses is kept at a speed which prevents any settling of slurry or cuttings in the hose.

THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO: • Take up minimum deck space

• Be low weight

• Have a low noise level during operation

• Require minimum installation time, both on a rig and subsea

• Handle specifically the type of debris encountered in well-drilling operations.

DEPENDABLECTS has been proven time and time again in some of the most demanding conditions around the world.

CTS - eliminate doubt, stay on scheduleTake cuttings away, take unnecessary problems away

A POWERFUL RISK-REDUCTION TOOLWhen you choose to use CTS, you’re essentially taking out a highly effective insurance policy.

With a cuttings-free template, thanks to CTS pumping debris up to 2km (1.2miles) away from the well area, you can be sure that the most crucial parts of your operation proceed as smoothly as possible.

With the traditional method of blowing debris from the template via seawater pumped down the drillstring, or ROV, cuttings and debris are merely deposited around the well area. These build up, creating barriers.

The result? Operations such as laying pipes and tying in umbilicals become a lot more difficult as there is no ‘clean route’ on the seabed to the template - piles of debris stand in the way.

DON’T LOSE TIME; USE CTS What should be a relatively straight-forward procedure has suddenly

become a lot more difficult; time is lost.CTS from Enhanced Drilling enables you to stay on schedule, taking unnecessary hazards out of the equation, saving valuable rig time.

Pipes can be laid and connections made on the template without having to negotiate debris deposits.

With CTS your cuttings are already far away.
