    CTS Hot Rolled Thread Bars: Your SOLID Solution

    Advantages of CTS Hot Rolled Thread Bar:

    Our CTS Hot Rolled Thread Bars (HRTB) are available in various grades. They are fully threaded along the entire length with a hot formed thread. The CTS Hot Rolled Thread Bars are in compliance with ASTM A615 depending on their design requirements.

    CTS Drilled Shaft Reinforcement - Introduction:

    The combination of high strength steel and high strength concrete is cre-ating new opportunities for engineers plus cost savings for Contractors.

    The use of Grade 80ksi and Grade100ksi HRTB vs. Grade 60 rebar rein-forcement with lap splices, reduces congestion and weight significantly.

    The drilled shafts with HRTB can be prefabricated offsite in modules, us-ing steel plates and couplers for fast and easy installation on the job site.

    The HRTB thread is a course and continuous thread throughout the bar. Compared to fine machined thread ends of rebar, it is much less sensi-tive for any damages; damage proofed.

    The couplers can be preinstalled on the end of the bars and they are designed and manufactured to develop 125% of the yield strength of the bars after ASTM A615.

    #32, Grade 80, 4 HRTB. The largest diameter HRTB available.

    The CTS, Grades 80 and 100, Hot Rolled Thread Bars are one of the strongest, simplest, most robust and cost effec-tive bars in the industry. The ductility (elongation) is equal or better than that required for Grade 60 bars, as per ASTM A615.

    The continuous hot rolled thread along the entire length of the bar allows the bars to be cut, spliced and anchored with couplers or nuts at any point along the bar.

    US DOMESTIC Hot Rolled Thread Bar.

    The two flat sides on the Hot Rolled Thread Bar eliminate jamming of nuts or couplers. The thread is self cleaning.

    Available in up to 4 diameter. The largest available on the current market.

    CTS Hollow Bar Technical Data:

    KEY FEATURES:

    1. Used as access tubes for CSL and TIP testing; as well as replacement of solid bars.2. Utilization of a CTS/TITAN IBO Hollow Bar as the reinforcing Bar. From the static point of view,

    a hollow bar is superior to a solid rod of the same cross sectional area with respect to bending moment, shear resistance and surface bond/friction.

    3. The CTS/TITAN IBO Hollow Bar is manufactured from high yield micro alloy, high quality structural steel offering high notch toughness > 40J @ -20 Celsius. This steel is not affected by hydrogen embrittlement or by stress crack corrosion. It has at least the mechanical properties and chemical compositions of ASTM A-706.

    4. The threads on the CTS/TITAN IBO Hollow Bar are formed much like the ribs on a reinforcing bar fabricated according to ASTM-A-706. The deep TITAN threads result in 2.4 times higher bond friction compared to standard drill steel rope-threads.

    5. Continuous threads guarantee that the CTS/TITAN IBO Hollow Bar can be cut or coupled anywhere along its length. A thread pitch of 6 degrees eliminates the need for locking nuts at
