CSU Stanislaus serves a diverse, growing student body with programs in the arts, letters, sciences, teacher education, and business. The Human Resource Management program has the nation’s top student testing success rate. Partnership programs in nursing, business, and agriculture help meet regional workforce needs, while Global Affairs collaborations offer students opportunities to study abroad. More than 600 students live in modern on-campus housing. The new Naraghi Hall of Science, completed in fall 2007, is a state-of-the-art facility and nationally certified as an environmentally “green” building.

• Annual spending related to CSU Stanislaus ($150.2 million) generates a total impact of $169 million on the regional economy, and nearly $268.6 million on the statewide economy.

• This impact sustains more than 2,000 jobs in the region and statewide more than 2,300 jobs.

• Per year, the impact generates more than $8 million in local and nearly $15 million in statewide tax revenue.

• Even greater—nearly $677 million of the earnings by alumni from CSU Stanislaus are attributable to their CSU degrees, which creates an additional $1 billion of industry activity throughout the state.

CSU Stanislaus improves California’s economy with research, innovation and entrepreneurship.• CSU Stanislaus’ four-year pre-licensure nursing program,

established in 2002, is helping to meet the need for qualified nursing graduates throughout the state. The university also added its first Master of Science in Nursing program in 2009.

• Since its 2007 startup, the CSU Stanislaus Executive Master of Business Administration degree program, which has attracted students from all over Central California to serve workforce needs, has enabled more than 100 working professionals to advance their careers and help their respective companies and organizations.

• CSU Stanislaus performs more than $6 million of government-funded research dealing with California’s endangered species annually. The Endangered Species Program in the College of Natural Sciences focuses on rare and endangered animals and plant life, and helps resolve conservation conflicts with agriculture and urban growth.

CSU Stanislaus improves life in the San Joaquin Valley region through research, arts and community service.• University-sponsored events and athletic competitions draw tens of

thousands of people each year. The College of Arts offers nearly 100 events annually, and the women’s soccer team established a new NCAA Division II attendance record in its fall 2009 Warrior Stadium debut.

• CSU Stanislaus is one of the important providers of sporting leisure in the San Joaquin Valley. The athletic program, which competes at the NCAA Division II level in 14 sports, draws more than 50,000 spectators annually to its Arena and Student Recreation Center stadium facility completed in 2009. The Athletic Department also conducts sports camps for youth.

A University for All Californians—CSU Stanislaus has been federally designated as a Latino-serving institution, with approximately 28 percent of the student body identifying themselves as being of Latino origin.
