Easier said than done…
Time is the best teacher for patience. We live
in a time when things are done fast. We want it
now. Our tax refund check can now hit our
bank account in a matter of weeks, not months.
Now we get our magazines by digital copy and
we get it fast. What else do we have to look forward to? Our locks
used to be only mechanical, now you can use your smart phone to
operate the locks, whether you are at home or not. Why is it so hard to
get used to this new stuff? Everywhere you look there is something
new. Now you have to learn this or learn that just to cope in life. Why
can’t we just go back to a simpler time when all you needed was a key?
Why can’t we just have the new information uploaded into our brain so
it doesn’t take out of our time to sit and learn. Some things are just
easier said than done, but until that time we need to have some training
on the new products so we can sell them to our customers and make us
so money selling it to them. Don’t forget to make money repairing it
when it breaks down, and being electronic, it will break down.
It is meeting time...I will see you there.
Your President,
Mike Middick, CML

The Office of Vice President
Well guys, we now start off a new year, and have to go
through the 2015 date things. How many of us have
already used the 2014 year on papers? I guess it just
takes time, and I hope I can master this before the
month is out.
As you can tell there is not a whole lot of stuff
happening here. The main thing I wanted to say is that
I am really glad everybody is happy with the officers
for the CSCLA and maybe glad they are not in office.
I talked about this in the last article I had written and
could not get arise out of anyone present, so we must
be doing a great job.
Remember the voting season will be here shortly.
Everyone needs to think of someone to run for office,
and if you would like to run let me know. I will put
your names on the voting ballot. Remember someone
has to fill in the slots to keep this association going.

Discipline Yourself
There will be times when you will
become discouraged and lose heart,
or some days when you simply will
not feel like getting up and going to
work or pursuing your goals.
When that happens, character and
commitment take over. It is character
that gets you out of bed, commitment
that moves you into action, and discipline
that enables you to follow through.

Belief Is All You Need
A man was lost while driving through the country. As he tried to read a map, he accidentally drove off the road into a ditch. Though he wasn’t indured, his car was stuck deep in the mud. So the man walked to a nearby farm to ask for help. “Warwick can get you out of that ditch,” said the farmer, pointing to an old mule standing in a field. The man looked at the haggardly mule and looked at the farmer who just stood there repeating, “Yep, old Warwick can do the job.” The man figured he had nothing to lose. The two men and Warwick made their way back to the ditch. The farmer hitched the mule to the car. With a smap of the reins he shouted, “Pull, Fred! Pull, Jack! Pull, Ted! Pull Warwick!” And the mule pulled the car from the ditch with very little effort. The man was amazed. He thanked the farmer, patted the mule and asked, “Why did you call out all of those other names before you called Warwick?” The farmer grinned and said, “Old Warwick is just about blind. As long as he believes he’s part of a team, he doesn’t mind pulling.”
