Why? 5 minutes from a volunteer:

• Visualization of the old maps in 3D space and as overlays

• New ways how to discover maps with geographical search

• Enrichment of the metadata of maps required for research and education

Results?

46.000 high-resolution maps from 19 institutions

760.000 points, if one takes 10 seconds it is over 2000 hours!

250.000 people involved

(Czech Republic has 10 mil.)
