As I recall my years as a young boy, Easter held very little meaning for me. In fact, I thought of it as a less-er holiday because it was all about a stupid rabbit and colored eggs. It didn’t offer all the “cool stuff” that Christmas did. In my mind

Easter was lame and a day when you were suppose to go to church. And going to church was the equivalent of the “Chinese water-torture.” Well things tend to change as you age. Like I’ve said before people go one of two ways as they age. They either get bitter or better. In my mind I’ve gotten better over the years, but Nancy might disagree with that thought on certain days. However, I distinctly remember my first Easter as a Christian. In fact, I asked Christ into my heart and surren-dered my life to Him just prior to Easter many years ago. On that first Easter Sunday it dawned on me that Jesus actually died for ME! Not, He just died and that was a long

time ago and lets hope the Preacher doesn’t speak too long or pray too much because we’ve got to beat the Baptist to Cracker Barrel. I mean He actually died for ME and YOU. Think about that for a moment. You are so loved by our Lord that long before you were ever thought of by your parents, grandpar-ents, or great-grandparents, Christ had YOU on his mind. Wow! He loves you Folks. How much does He love you and me? Enough that had you been the only one living on Earth at the time He would have still gone to the cross so that you might have eternal life. Remember this and let us never forget…”For God so loved the world (YOU) that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have ever-lasting life (John 3:16).” Let us keep that in mind this Easter Season and it’s okay to have some fun with the rabbit and eggs too.

Blessings, Pastor Greg

Pastor Greg Bouck

This NEW Group Bible Study of Dr. David Jeremiah’s book Overcomer meets once a month in homes of “church family” members. This month join us in the home of Pastor Greg and Nancy. Date and time TBA.

Enjoy food, fellowship and studying God’s word in the company of friends who share your interest in growing your faith. We are living in a challenging world, full of evil schemes that can be confusing and confounding. Dr. Jeremiah’s study, which includes a video message that is more amazing each week, teaches through scripture how, putting on the armor of God’s word, we can stand firm and overcome sin, the world and the devil! Please plan to join us!
