Adapted from Agatha Christie’s novel, this whodunit finds Charles Hayward investigating the death of his fiancée’s grandfather in the aftermath of World War II.
A bandleader is dead. The police are looking to round up a potentially innocent man. And, we’re out of ice. Nick and Nora Charles are back in this martini mystery, and they’re hot on the case.

INTERMISSION
directors’ note Directing the spring one acts is one of our favorite things to do for Limelight. This show provides an excellent opportunity for young writers and directors to experiment with telling stories in a more independent way - they take charge of writing and directing the scenes, with guidance from lead directors. In addition to that, these one acts also offer a nice showcase for young actors who may not have received a great many opportunities in the past, giving them a chance to explore several different types of characters. This year, we venture to outer space, the idea for which was generated by one of our student writers in response to the loss of David Bowie last winter. Bowie’s music was heavily influenced by science fiction, and many of his themes dealt with space in one way or another; he was an important person to many of us here at Limelight. This show is a message from us, Ground Control, to Major Tom, simply to say ‘thank you.’
