Bruce Belcher's Daintree River Cruises offer a one-hour wild life cruise. We are enthusiastic, honest, exciting and informative. We are keen bird watchers and have a good eye for crocodiles and tree snakes, with crocodiles being spotted on 98% of trips, particularly in cooler months.

We operate from our home on the banks of the Daintree River in a secluded location from a private jetty in a wildlife botique facility. Come and relax in our garden room, listen to the surrounding wildlife and enjoy a complimentary Daintree Tea or coffee. Peruse our tropical souvenir collection. Meander through our lush tropical garden to our private jetty to board our vessel for a personal guided tour with Bruce's 31 years experience on the Daintree River.

Hello, my name is Bruce Belcher and my family and I and my guides are celebrating 31 years as a tour guide on the Daintree River.

As a small family business we have a great lifestyle with our own private boutique facility on the riverbank, in a Conservation Park.

My involvement in tourism started from humble beginnings as a trainee tour guide, learning the knack of how to spot wildlife – so 40,000 trips later I have an eagle eye for spotting wildlife and I have trained Ray and Griffith, my son along the same path.

I offer you a one hour cruise observing wildlife, with an emphasis on crocodile spotting. Other aspects include tree-snakes, pythons and bird-life, natural history of the region and the mangrove eco-system. Binoculars are provided.

My obsession with the river comes from my childhood and growing up with the aborigines on Mornington Island, in the Gulf of Carpenteria, where I learned a lot about what we are presenting.

The boat is covered and we

have clear screens in the event

of rain. The boat, being small
