Adventure Fitness Retreat in Croatia

Surrounded by secluded inlets laced with limestone cliffs and framed by turquoise blue water, Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast enchants with its rich history, rugged islands and hidden coves. Venture into the lush hills of the Peljesac Peninsula and azure waters while enjoying a range of activities from group exercise classes to energizing treks. Day trips and wine tastings are also available: Explore the famed Walls of Ston, dated back to the 14th and 15th centuries and known as the “European Great Wall of China” and follow it with a wine tasting; take a boat trip to the island of Mljet, where Odysseus found his paradise, or take the ‘Game of Thrones’ walking tour of Dubrovnik. There is much to be experienced in this breathtaking region.

Stay in luxurious historic stone houses, lovingly restored, and refurbished with an herbal sauna and pool, all within walking distance from the beach. Everyday you can push your limits or simply enjoy the beauty of the Adriatic. This retreat is meant to help you reconnect mind, body and soul in an environment full of life and energy.

Adventure Fitness Retreat in Croatia Note that this is a tentative schedule as things can shift due to availability, however all of these events will be included in the retreat and you may participate as much as you like. What’s Included: Daily Yoga, Mat Pilates, meditation and TRX-based Pilates sessions with Josephine & Kristina. 7 days / 6 nights accommodation in authentic Dalmatian stone houses within walking distance from the beach. Airport pick up (inbound and outbound) from Dubrovnik to Viganj and Viganj to Dubrovnik (130km /80 miles one way). Includes 3 organic meals/day + snack meals + nutritionally balanced drinks (you will be spoiled!) Solo participants will share spacious rooms in old stone authentic Dalmatian houses. There are two outside and two inside terraces, an herbal sauna and two swimming pools. Adventure Fitness Retreat in Croatia What to Bring: Here’s what we suggest bringing to a one-week retreat, though of course you can adjust this however you feel is appropriate. Travel documents! (passport, itinerary, tickets) Health insurance card (or travel insurance that covers healthcare emergencies) 2 pairs of yoga/workout pants 3-4 workout shirts 1 light sweater or hoodie to wear on the flight and in the mornings/evenings when it’s cooler A couple pairs of socks 1 pair of leggings or pants or longer skirt that you can wear on the flight and on cooler nights 2 T-shirts/simple shirts for traveling and sightseeing Comfy skirt, shorts or pants that you can wear for sightseeing with a simple shirt A couple of sundresses that pack well without getting crinkled Swimsuit Beach cover-up (for example simple cotton shorts/dress) Sarong that can double as a beach towel Sunglasses, sunscreen If you’re sensitive to the sun, possibly a hat Underwear Sleepwear Shower stuff, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair brush, shampoo and conditioner, moisturizer Yoga mats will be available, but if you prefer to bring your own, you’re welcome to

Adventure Fitness Retreat in Croatia TRX-based Suspended Pilates Appropriate for all fitness levels, TRX-based Suspended Pilates develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. The exercises are a blend of TRX suspension training and Pilates, so you get the best of suspension training combined with Pilates. This technique allows you to do both classical and contemporary Pilates exercises from the Mat, Reformer and Cadillac while using your own body weight with one versatile piece of equipment – the swing! Both playful and rigorous, Suspended Pilates takes core-strengthening and targeted muscle conditioning to new heights.

Utilizing a specialized “swing” consisting of breathable nylon parachute fabric and grips, TRX-based Suspended Pilates features core strengthening with 3-dimensional movement to target the deep muscles of the body. The double suspension points safely create controlled instability which strengthens your inner joint muscles. The element of suspension takes the gravity out of the exercise, which not only re-aligns and decompresses the spine, but is known to ease back pain as well.
