    SAP CRM EHP's are cumulative. Each current EHP contains the entire content of

    earlier packages. Therefore each EHP is based on the previous one. SAP EHP's have

    the same maintenance duration as that of the underlying SAP CRM Application.

    Support packs contains corrections and legal changes.

    EHP's contains User Interface Simplifications and Functional Enhancements. It is new

    version of the existing software components.

    With EHP's you(Customer) can only update those software components which are

    related to functionality you use.

    You(Customer) need to activate the business function after installation of EHP's.

    You(Customer) can electively implement those software innovation needed from SAP

    and activate the functionality based on the business requirement.

    EHP's can contain improved version of existing business processes or/and can contain

    new processes.

    Select and activate the functionality needed in EHP's by using Switch Framework. The

    functionality you(Customer) does not need remains dormant.

    You need to test the Activation of new functions, in Advance, in a

    Sandbox/Test system because Activation of Business Functions and

    installation of EHP's are irreversible.

    Data exchange between CRM and ECC is based on qRFC. (qRFC' are used for

    serialization)

    Communication between CRM and ECC is based on RFC.

    Although Luws belonging to a queue are stored in tRFC tables

    ARFCSSTATE,ARFCSDATA,TRFCQDATA, TRFCQSTATE, TRFCQOUT and

    TRFCQIN, but these queues cannot be maintained or displayed using tRFC

    transaction SM58. We must use middleware transactions SMQ1/SMQ2.

    Billing units - Units which are responsible for creating billing documents in your

    organization. Billing units can be sales organizations, service organizations. There

    are sales organizations 0001 and 0002, but sales organization 0001 is

    responsible for billing in all of these sales areas. This is the functional explanation.

    Technically Billing unit is a Business partner with the Role "Billing Unit". As many

    sales organizations can be assigned to Billing unit.

    Billing units are uniquely assigned to company codes.

    In Inter-company billing scenario, one sales org(or billing unit) is responsible for

    selling and another department is the customer. This is automatically determinedbased on the company code.

    Note 504735, explains how to set up subscriptions for FI/CO transfer of a CRM

    billing document.

    Order(Sales/Service) -> Create Delivery(then picks, packs and posts goods issue)

    -> Create billing(Invoice) document.

    In SAP CRM, you can issue invoices for various Business Transactions(with or

    without reference to delivery) Sales orders, Service Contracts, Service orders,

    Service confirmations.

    In SAP CRM billing, you can combine sales order items and service order items inone billing document(or invoice).

    You can opt for CRM billing or SD Billing. you should normally use CRM Billing to

    invoice contracts, service orders, confirmations and complaints.

    ECC component, SAP FI-AR(Finance accounting & accounts receivable) or FI-

    CA(Contracts accounts, Receivable and Payable) must be implemented if you

    wish to post billing documents to financial accounting.

    Billing documents are never exchanged between CRM and ECC systems.

    As long as Invoice(Billing) data is not transferred to the Accounting(in ECC), you

    can make changes to the Invoice.

    Billing Plan are of two types. Periodic Billing(Ex: 1st of every month) or Milestone

    Billing(Ex: On Project Phase 1 completion).

    The usage of HTTP 1.1 is a prerequisite for using compression and mandatory for

    CRM Web Client.

    HTTP 1.1 supports persistent connections (Keep-Alive). This means TCP/IP

    connections are kept open until explicit "Connection" or "Close" requests.

    With HTTP 1.0 for every round trip request connection is established with takes

    time.

    System Status : Meaning is entirely defined by the SAP system.

    Example(s) :

    1. Distribution lock is set by the system when the sales order is not been replicated

    from CRM to ECC system. There is

    no user intervention required.

    2. When order is created against a contract which has no left over quantity for a sales

    order to be created, then in

    that case system issues a "error" and sets a document error status.

    3. When a contract end data is reached or Quantity is completely consumed. Contract

    status is set to "Completed"

    User status: is set by the user.

    Example : When a Contract is initially created. Its status is "New/In Process" and when

    the Contract is ready, it is

    28th June 2014Its a place in SAP CRM, where all the interactions between two business partners(like

    customers and vendors) are captured and stored in one place. Some times vital information

    is stored in activity journals.

    There are 2 types of activity(Business Transaction categories).

    1) Business Activity(where Business Partners are involved)

    2) Tasks(Personal/Professional/Private tasks for employee)

    How ever I could not make it work(product issues? does not work properly !!) and not so

    much user friendly.

    Contract is an agreement between customer and a vendor. Here customer is guaranteed to

    receive certain products or services at a lower/agreed price over a period of time and a

    better delivery. Vendor has an understanding of the customer behavior and plans for

    continuity/survival of his(vendor's) business.

    * For example when 10 monitors are ordered, a mouse will be given free.

    * Inclusive free goods means customer orders 10 monitors but pays only for 9

    monitors.

    * Exclusive free goods means customer orders 10 monitors and gets 1 mouse free.

    Free goods customizing in CRM is as below.

    1. Define Condition Group for Business Partner.

    (Condition Group enables the condition maintenance. We are enabling condition

    maintenance for BUPA. Without this condition maintenance is hidden for Business

    partners).

    CRM SPRO -> Master Data -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Define Condition

    Group

    2. Create Maintenance Group.

    CRM SPRO-> Master Data -> Conditions & Condition Technique -> Condition

    Technique: Basics -> Create Maintenance Group

    If you enter a product in CRM, system will automatically replace with a alternative

    product. (Ex : During Christmas alternative product with better packaging).

    Product substitution is controlled by product determination assigned on

    Transaction type.

    All the configuration of product determination is maintained in SAP ERP and are

    only downloaded to CRM.

    Product Substitution(only a replacement product is offered) not be confused with

    Product determination which is based on ATP.

    Revenue (sometimes called sales) refers to all the money a company takes in from doing

    what it does whether making goods or providing services. Other sources of funds

    including investment gains are usually labeled as such but also included as revenue.

    (Occasionally, youll see this number referred to as gross income.)

    Net income is the phrase commonly used to refer to a companys profit. It represents

    how much money the company has left over, if any, after its paid the costs of doing business

    payroll, raw materials, taxes, interest on loans, etc.

    It can be done through

    Mailing list

    Product promotions

    Tale calling etc.

    Meaning you are trying to reach your customers for increasing customer base,

    entering new markets or increasing sales or product awareness.

    For ex: Product demos or stalls in an exhibition.

    ~~~~
    Trade Promotion Management is an activity which is done with the help of your
    channel partners. The key here is "trade", which means
    Distributors
    Retailers
    Wholesalers
    Resellers etc.
    The purposes remain the same like to increase customer base or sale revenues but
    here the incentives are given to your channel partner.
    For ex: Commission to the wholesaler/distributor for selling 100 cartons for a particular
    month.
    A consumer is the person who finally utilizes it.
    Eg : You(Customer) buy medicines for your(Consumer) brother.
    Sales Agreement is a long term agreement between Business Partners & Define
    * conditions (like prices & terms of delivery)
    * products (releasable)
    These conditions and products are valid for all contracts/sales orders customers
    create against this sales agreement.
    There is NO purchase Quantity specified in Sales Agreement.
    Unlike Quantity contract or Value contracts, Sales Agreement do not contain targetQuantity or target Value.
    Example : Franchise agreements.
    The document flow is updated in SAP CRM from SAP ECC. Shipping assignment
    block gets updated from PGI(delivery, goods issue) and Billing assignment block
    gets updated from Billing in ECC.
    Sales order contain atleast 1 item. Only header data on sales transactions are not
    transferred to SAP ECC.
    Transaction type name and item category name in SAP CRM and SAP ECC must
    match.
    Settings for number range must be matched between SAP CRM and SAP ECC.
    quantity or net value, ship to party)
