Examine the photography
Decipher what you like and dislike about the photograph
Describe the photograph in terms of your general feeling or impression
Address the technical components
Assess the artistic elements of the photo
Explain what you like about the photograph, and why
Elaborate on elements of the photograph that could be improved upon
Summarize your general perception of the photograph
Looking at the picture…
Question: Do you overexpose the image? Does the picture have too much light, or is there stuff in the photo that takes away from the focus?
Exposure..
Over exposing examples..These have too much light, makes what is supposed to be good, a bad picture..
You do not want your picture to have so much light that your picture turns out washed out, and the subject is boring.
Why that is bad…
Is the picture sharp and clear or is blurry, or did you over expose the picture?
Focus..

Do all the elements of the frame support the subject, or are there distractions that take away from the strength of the image?
Composition..

Does the picture control the viewers eyes? Does it show depth of field?
