3.7.5 How many of the linkages / collaborations have actually resulted in formal
MoUs and agreements ? List out the activities and beneficiaries and cite
examples (if any) of the established linkages that enhanced and/or
facilitated –
The College have obtained 8 MoU’s which resulted after the collaborative
work and also 9 collaborative agreements at present.
a) Curriculum development /enrichment
There are 3 MoU’s and one collaborative agreement with foreign
universities. They are
1. South China Normal University
2. School of Botany, University of Melbourne
3. Institute for sufficiency economy research, Chiang Mai

our students also come to know about the different developments in those fields. For
example aquaponics research.
b) Internship/ On-the-job training
Already the College has one international internship program with Wiscon
University, Madison. The Chemistry department is also having an intership
program with Spices Board, Ernakulam. Many final year students make use of the
On-the-job training program conducted at Quality Evaluation Laboratory, Spice
Board. The college also had an MOU with SIFY Ltd. Chennai for providing
training on ‘supply chain management’, for the students. Other example for
Internship/ On-the-job training is that with CIFNET in which students are learned
fish processing and marketing techniques.

biodiversity conservation and management. It also aims at research on illegal
wildlife trade and its mitigation and education and awareness programmes for
tribes and forest communities.
f) Consultancy
The College has an IGNOU Centre, which is one of the biggest centers of South
India. This is one of the main revenue earners through consultancy for the
College.
g) Extension
Each department has its own extension programs depending on the areas of
interest. Some of them have even converted it to MoU. For example,
Mathematics Department have and MoU with Navadarsan, an NGO working
among the backward student community in Ernakulam. Department helps the
students selected by Navadarsan in Mathematics Training and also preparing
them for Mathematics Olympiad. The Chemistry department has a Collaborative
agreement with Kerala State Pollution Control Board for analysis of Quality-
Pollution parameters for water, waste water and solid waste sample.
