Crescent or PersephoneMy film is a mix of stop motion, live action, and 2d animation. I was inspired by Jan Svankmeyers Food, Fando y Lis, and Hickory, a short film by Albert Kinney. I envision a sort of Alice in Wonderland for the modern slacker. My main actor will be Curt Fulgham

Drew Beck will play the fool

Plot Willowtree eats dinner in a white room. Santa Claus makes his immediate needs appear. There is no time. Yet the door beckons. Beyond the white door is the desert, the real. Willowtree wanders into the real and finds the fool, who has lost his mind to the contraption. Willowtree listens to the contraption and awakes in a white room.ChallengesThe animation will be time consuming. Mixing the live action with animation in a way that is believable, or that looks like the same universe will be my goal. Shooting in Eastern Washington may require filters for the sunlight, as well a large ladder or scaffold. I need to built a contraption that looks somewhat believable although I may just animate it.
