Renovation Update
A little girl was explaining to her mother through tears of fear of sleeping in a dark room all alone. “But you are not alone dear,” her mother insisted. “God is always with you.” “I understand but I want a God with a face!”
And so do we all. Deep within our soul is a longing to see God up close. To hear His reassuring words in time of trouble. For centuries the people of faith longed to hear God speak or see God move. Then on a miraculous evening without much fanfare or attention God burst through the darkness and uncertainty in amazing fashion, He came as a baby in a manger. Most did not notice. But at least one did. A man named Simeon whose eyes of faith stayed on the promise that he would see the coming Messiah. And he did. Today we will see how his story intersected with God’s story and the rest is “His-story!”

WELCOME GUESTS: If you record your visit by text (860-850-0034) or by completing the card in the hymnal pocket in front of you, we will make a $5 donation to The Gideons International. Several of our members are Gideons. Your donation helps this group provide Bibles by placing and distributing Scriptures in various locations and with various groups, but also through personal witnessing and by associating together for service. Pray that many will find God by reading the words in these strategically located Bibles. www.gideons.org
