Relay for Life Luminaries

During the month of May, stop in to either branch and support the local chapter of “Relay for Life”. You can personalize and dedicate a luminary to a person in your life who is fighting cancer, recovering from cancer or lost their battle with cancer. The proceeds go directly to the American Cancer society to help save lives, find a cure, and fight back.

At Greater Niagara FCU we are collecting a $5 donation for each luminary or 3 for $12.

Thank you to all our members and members of the community who purchased a puzzle piece to support Autism Awareness and The Summit Center.

April is “Youth Month – The Science of Saving”. Along with prizes for our youth members, we will be collecting new stuffed toys for the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara. They give over 300 comfort items to Niagara County children each year. Help us reach 300 new stuffed toys.

Do you have a torn or faded American flag? Both branches now have “Flag Retirement Boxes” maintained by the Boy Scouts.

Introducing Your New CEO

Greater Niagara FCU is both saddened and excited to announce a changing of the guard.

June 2018 will see a change in the CEO/President. Carolyn DuBois will be retiring after 11 years as CEO and 29 years with the credit union. For

the past 4 months, Janelle Zasucha has been working closely with Carolyn to learn the ropes of being CEO of a community federal credit union. “I’m very excited to be the new CEO of Greater Niagara FCU and look forward to growing our credit union both financially and in the community.” Zasucha explained.

Janelle has been a life long resident of Niagara County and a Greater Niagara FCU member since 2007. “The out pouring of positive support I have received as your new CEO has been remarkable”.

We are celebrating Youth Month every day in April.

Bring your children in to make a deposit into their savings account for chances to win prizes and learn more about the Science of Saving.

To help your children get into the savings habit, start by having them cut out pictures of items they would like and post the images where they can see them.

Then bring them in to open a new savings account at Greater Niagara FCU. For all children 12 years of age and under, we will match their first $5 deposit!

Encourage your child to make regular small deposits each week and explain how their money will earn interest while it is in their account. It is wonderful to watch them as they see their savings grow.
