創造力 (Creativity)：跳出箱子外思考 1 陳建甫 淡江大學未來學研究所 第一節 越來越複雜的社會 你有沒有想過，每天上班或上課，你究竟會選擇那一條道路呢？是選擇「向 右走」呢？還是選擇「向左走」呢？ 2 你會選擇用那種交通工具？是搭公車、搭 捷運、計程車、開車、騎機車、騎腳踏車、還是走路呢？這些簡單的問題好像從 來沒有被想過，大家已經習慣了，在上班或上學日子裡，選擇同樣的路徑、同樣 的交通工具，因為可以預期在同樣的時間內，就能順利到達辦公室或學校。 「改變」 (change)在某一種程度代表著一種「風險」（risks）。回顧人類的歷 史裡，趨吉避凶一直是生存的法則，連單細胞動物草屢蟲也有這樣的能力，如此 將可以避免遭遇未知的風險。於是，人類習慣在「危險」、「安全」兩個選項中， 進行思考與採取行動。但是，在當今社會裡，我們已經很難明確地區分「哪裡是 安全？」「那裡是危險？」時，我們的決策模式將會開始產生「進退兩難」或「弔 詭」（dilemma）的困境，例如：台灣究竟要朝向經濟發展呢？還是要朝向保護生 態環境呢？ 「兩難困境」也發生在「過去」、「現在」與「未來」的社會裡。「昨是今非」 是我們經常用來感慨社會變遷、世態炎涼，例如：在對性產業工作者的描述，過 去從事性產業工作者大多是女性、大多是因為家庭因素、個人沒有工作能力、或 被逼進入火坑，但是，當代社會充斥著「笑貧不笑娼」時，大家對投入性產業工 作者則有不同的價值判斷。即使在當代社會裡，兩難困境也存在不同價值或文化 間，例如：伊斯蘭教社會與西方世界，對宗教解釋、道德規範、甚至在性別、家 庭與兩性關係裡，東西文化之間產生極大的差異。 面對超過兩種以上不同的選擇，已經成為現代社會大眾，每天必須要面對的 抉擇，例如：許多人會煩惱午餐究竟要吃什麼？台灣的中小企業老闆也面臨到兩 難困境，甚至更多的「選擇」在等他最決策，例如：究竟要不要產業升級、根留 1 本文內容改寫 2011 年 7 月 19 日「高中職未來想像與創意種子教師育夢工作坊」專題演講「跳 出箱子外的思考」，聲寶淡水訓練中心，以及 4月 11日啟航子計畫辦公室「未來想像與創意人才 培育系列講座」，台灣師範大學教育學院。 2 幾米的繪本《向左走，向右走》，一個發生在城市-只可能發生在城市的、關於追尋的故事。幾 米以一種淡淡的、幽默的筆調緩緩述說，在故事情節與畫面中製造城市生活的各種「巧合」。 1
