‘IDEATE FOR INDIA – CREATIVE SOLUTIONS USING TECHNOLOGY’

What is ‘Ideate for India – creative solutions using technology’?

● Ideate for India – creative solutions using technology, is a National level challenge conceptualised by National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and Intel India for all students studying in classes 6 to 12 pan India.

● The aim of this challenge is to give young students of our country a platform and opportunity to become solution creators for the problems they see around them and their communities.

● This initiative will allow the participants to gain a basic understanding of ‘Skills of the Future’ such as Design Thinking, Ideation - idea generation, Making, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) concepts, Collaboration etc.

IDEATE FOR INDIA - CREATIVE SOLUTIONS USING TECHNOLOGY

● The challenge will be implemented at national level - open to school students from classes 6 – 12 across the country.

● There will be 11 core theme areas on which students can share their ideas.

● There will be 2 categories - Junior (classes 6–8) and Senior (classes 9-12)

● In phase I - Students will access curated online videos and submit their proposed solutions/ideas in an online format as a video. Top 10 ideas will be shortlisted from each State and Union Territory (UT) – leading to a total of 360 students.

● In phase II - 10 children selected as top performers per State and UT will be invited for a regional Tech-Creation Boot Camp.

For the purposes of this national challenge, students will need to share their ideas in any of the below mentioned core themes areas:

● Healthcare services● Education services ● Environment (For example: Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Water Conversation, Pollution – water/

air/ land/ noise, e-waste, single use of plastic etc.)● Women Safety● Traffic● Infrastructure● Agriculture● Social welfare ● Disability ● Tourism ● Digital Services

Sign Up : Step 1

Click on the Register button on the extreme right side of the Page.


Sign Up : Step 2

You will be redirected to Register Page. Click on Register Here button next to Are you a School ?


Sign Up : Step 3

Fill all the details and click on the Register button at the end of the page.


Please make sure you enter the total number of students from Grade 6 to Grade 12 in your school and not just Interested ones.

Sign Up : Step 4

Once you click on the Register Button, you will see the following screen and will be asked to verify your account. Login to your email account and verify the account by clicking on the verification link.

If verification mail is not found in Inbox, Please check spam folder.


As soon as you verify your account, Your account comes to us for approval & Once approved you can log-in

Sign Up : Step 5

● After verification is done from your end using the mail sent to you on registered mail id, your school profile comes to us for approval.

● We then verify it from our end for authentic school registering. (This might take 24-48 Hours)

● Till we don’t verify you will get an error at Log-In Page.

● Once verified and approved from our end, you will receive a mail on your registered mail id informing you the same.

● Then you can Log-In and do the next steps.

Click on Dashboard button to navigate to Dashboard of your school account.

NATIONAL CHALLENGE OF TECH CREATION FOR FUTURE INNOVATIONS

Adding New Classroom: Step 1

Click on Add New Button to Start adding a new Classroom.


This shows progress of the selected classroom not the whole school.


Below screen will appear when you click on Add New Button on Dashboard.

Click on ‘this’ button to download the template sheet for uploading students data.



This is how the template Excel sheet would look like. Please start adding data in this sheet without making changes in any formatting or column titles. Please make sure you follow all the mandatory

rules, to avoid getting errors!



● Date of birth should be in the same format as in this sheet

● Do not create a new sheet, Using the template sheet and add your data to the same.

● Only Students from Grade 6 to 12 can participate.

● Students having birth year 2000 to 2008 only are eligible for participation.

● Make sure you share the passwords with students once sheet is prepared for them to login later. (Every Student can have same password)

Things to keep in mind while uploading the sheet.

We recommend keeping a copy of sheet with you for future reference.



Once date is added to the Excel sheet, make sure its abiding all the rules and then save. Now, its ready to upload.

Note: Data of students once uploaded cannot be deleted or edited, so make sure you don’t make any mistakes!



If there is an error in sheet, you will get error in the way below.

Solve the error and try re-uploading the sheet.

If no error then the sheet will successfully get uploaded.

All the students added will receive a welcome email on their registered

email-id.


Dashboard

Once added the classroom gets reflected in the Dashboard as shown below.

You can select the classroom from here to check the progress of particular class.


Showing Videos to Particular Class: Step 1

Select the class you want to show the videos too. Click on Let’s Learn Button to go on videos page.

You can start showing videos to students, once you complete showing all the 9 videos to students, Certificates for students will be Generated.

How to download the Certificates? : Step 3Click on Certificates(.Zip) button on Top-Right of the table. A (.zip) file will be downloaded containing certificates of all the students of that class. Note: 1) This file will be empty if you have not completed Showing the videos to the selected class. 2) This now makes all the students of this class eligible to submit their ideas.


How to Submit an Idea?

There are 2 ways to Submit an Idea:

1. Teacher submitting the idea.2. Student submitting the idea.

How to Submit an Idea? (Teacher Submitting Ideas) : Step 3Move to the Right-Most end of the Table and click on Login button in-front of the name of the student you want to submit idea for. That will Log you into the students account.

Note: To come back to school account you will have to Log-out of student’s account and then Log-In again to School Account.


How to Submit an Idea? (Student Submitting Ideas)

You will find Email-id mentioned in-front of each student, You can share that with student who wants to submit an idea along with the password that you submitted during uploading the sheet.

They can themselves login and submit the idea.
