In order to understand the critical questions of existence, we need to read the Bible for ourselves.
We want to help you get the big picture, so that you will have a life long appetite to read more and more of the Bible with greater and greater understanding.
EVERYTHING you and I see when we look at the earth and space, God created. Everything has a relationship with God.
If you stumble on sentence
1,”In the Beginning God
created the heavens and the earth,” you will stumble in life.
Revelation 21:1 Then I saw, “a new heaven and a new
earth,” for the first heaven and
the first earth had passed away, and
there was no longer any sea.
.
The Bible is the story of God: God creating earth and everything on it, and it concludes with God bringing the end of earth and everything on it.
Genesis 1:26 (NIV) Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Genesis 2:7 (NIV) Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Genesis 2:15 (NIV) The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
Genesis 2:21–22 (NIV) So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
Genesis 1:31 (NIV) 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was VERY GOOD. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
1. The Bible is about God.2. God is the main character in creation3. Everything in creation was carefully
crafted by God4. The creation of man and woman was the
pinnacle of God’s creation5. Men and women are given a unique
relationship in creation6. Men and women are given a unique role
in creation7. Men and women were designed to enjoy
serene life together without shame.
Genesis 2:16–17 (NIV) 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
Matthew 4:7 (NIV) 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
Genesis 3:1 (NIV) 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
Genesis 3:6–7 (NIV) 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Genesis 3:12–13 (NIV) 12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
So as you read the “The Story” of God, the Bible, you are making primary again, what most needs to be primary, growing in your relationship with God.
