Poem Edition
Somewhere in my dreams tonight
I'll see you standing there
You look at me with a smile
Life just isn't fair
You say you were chosen for his garden
His preciously handpicked bouquet
He really needed me you say
That's why I couldn't stay
It's said to be that angels
Are sent from above
I've always had my angel
My sister - whose heart was filled with love
Wherever the ocean meets the sky
There will be memories of you and I
When I look up at that sky so blue
All I see are visions of you
While there's a heart in me, you'll be a part of
me.
by Kimberly Gilyeat
I know how you feel
It’s a feeling of emptiness
A feeling of being alone
It clings to you like a fly
Trapped in a spiders web
You want to feel whole
You want to feel complete
Tired of being depressed
Tired of not doing anything
With your life
You want to know someone
Will always be there for you
That they will always help you up
When you are down
That someone will toss a rope down to you
To help you out of the Bottomless Hole you are in
You are told you are loved
But how can you ever know if they truly mean it?
You’re told you are safe
But are you really?
Continued
You are tortured mentally and physically at school
Then afterwards, you are
Ridiculed and criticized at home
At one point or another,
Everyone Feels this way
You are not alone
You will never be alone
Just remember, that someone out there
Is Feeling the same way as you
by Chris Carlton
Why do I compare to nothing?
Why do I cry?
Tears running down like a rainfall
I know it won’t do me any good
Why do I try to love? When I know it’s unbearable
Promises that turn to lies,
Scary dreams late at night
The love was there or so I thought,
Until the day my depression he bought
I suffer in silent’s
My heart in a rush,
These are the lips he last touched,
For he didn’t know what the future held in our hands
For I was you lover, your biggest fan
You promised me you wouldn’t leave, so I believed
My mind in sorrow, maybe I will find the light tomorrow
My heart trying to find love once again
But I was left with nothing in the end.
