La primera reacción comprende el paso del grupo
amida de la arginina a la glicina, para formar
glicociamida.
La glicociamida recibe un metilo de la metionina,
esto da la como resultado la creatina y homocisteina.

El derivado fosforilado de la creatina es la
fosfocreatína que es un compuesto de alta energía.
La cisteína al perder agua dará como resultado la
