Creating Ads for your New Web Site

Set up your BIDVERTISER Account

Step 1: Go to http://www.bidvertiser.com/ & under web publishers, click “Join Now – It’s Free”



Step 2: Fill out the required fields but DO NOT hit continue



Step 3: Click “Get Activation Code

Step 3 (Cont’d): Check your email for your activation code. If you do not see it in your inbox within 10 minutes, check your spam folder as it may have been placed in there. Copy the activation code from your email and paste into the appropriate field. Then, check all four boxes after reading Bidvertiser’s Terms of Service.



Step 4: Tell us about your content – Title your ad. Being that you will be creating three ads for your website, we suggest titling this one “Ad 1” Enter your website URL and select your language. If you are not familiar with 3rd party ad servers, do not check that box. Finally, choose your category. You can either pick a category of the type of ads you want displayed, or choose the one closes to the one you choose for your site. Click Finish.



Step 4 (Cont’d): Choosing your ad size – There are three ad spaces on your site. This document will instruct you on how to create your ads from top to bottom. Your first ad needs to be 300x250. You will need to navigate to the BidVertiser Center. First click on the MANAGE BIDVERTISER tab > BidVertiser Center



Step 4 (Cont’d): Choosing your ad size – click Choose Template to select your ad size. By clicking Choose Template, a separate window will pop-‐up.



Step 4 (Cont’d): Choosing your ad size – To make this ad 300x250, click on “Rectangles. Then select the medium rectangle (300x250). Finally, click on update to change your first ad to the correct size.



Step 5: How you will get paid – Click on the “Select Payment Method” option.



Step 5 (Cont’d): Select your payment method – this is how you would like to get paid for clicks. Each selection will require different information. For example, if you choose PayPal, you will have to provide your PayPal email address. Please fill out all required fields so that your payment is not delayed or not sent at all.

Note: Once the payment method is set, please enter your Bidvertiser password in the “Your current Password” Field.



Step 5 (Cont’d): Changing your payment method – If at anytime you would like to change how your receive the money your ads earn, click on the “ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT” tab à “Payment Advice”



Creating your second Ad

Step 1: Click on the “MANAGE BIDVERTISERS” Tab



Step 1 (Cont’d): Click “Add new BidVertiser”

**Note: Each page of your site that supports advertisements will need its own



Step 1 (Cont’d): Title your new ad. Just as with your first ad, we suggest titling this ad “Ad 2.” Click finish when you are done titling the ad. Once you click finish, your new ad will be created.



Step 1 (Cont’d): changing the size of your ad. Just as with the first ad, you will need to change the size of the ad to 300x250. The steps to do this is them same as with your first ad. You just need to select your second ad to change the size of it. You do this by clicking on the bubble to the left of the title of your second ad.



Creating your third Ad Step 1: Repeat the steps for your second ad but when choosing your ad size. Your third ad will be a different size. Your third ad will be 160x600. This sized ad can be found by clicking the Skyscrapers option. Select Skyscraper (120x600).



Incorporating your ads into your site. Step 1: Now that you have created all three of your ads, you will need to add them to your site. The first thing you need to do is log into your word press admin area. To do this, go to “your domain”/wp-‐admin. If you do not have your username and password, please contact support by opening a support ticket in your client area at secure.coolhandle.com. Step 1 (Cont’d): Now that you are logged into you’re your WordPress admin area, in the left-‐hand menu click on settings > Website Settings



Step 1 (Cont’d): The website configuration screen will appear. In the affiliate banner code 1 is where you will place the code for your first 300x250 ad. Affiliate Banner Code 2 is for your second 300x250 ad. And Affiliate Banner Code 3 is for your 160x600 ad.



Step 2 (Cont’d): In a separate tab, please open your BidVertiser account page if you have not done so already. To copy the code you will need, please select the ad you wish to get the code for by selecting the bubble just to the left of the ad name, just as you did to select the ad to change the size of the it. Then select “ Get Ad Code”



Step 2 (Cont’d): Copy the code for your first ad in the dialogue box that pops up.



Step 3: Paste the ad code into the appropriate filed in cpanel. Each field will be marked with the size of the ad that it is for. Please copy the same size ad from BidVertiser and paste it into the appropriate field.
