The journey thus far... A passion for the art of magic that was sparked at university, developed into a hobby and soon evolved into a part time career whilst working as a full-time engineer. Qualified in electronic engineering with an honours degree from the University of Kwazulu Natal and with six and a half years of industry experience, Mahommed Moorad, popularly known by his performing name of Mo Magic, resigned from his lucrative career as a project and customer manager in 2010 to follow his passion for entertaining with the art of magic.

With over 15 years entertaining audiences as a magician, he has spent the last seven of these as a full time entertainer, MC and speaker, spreading joy and delight through his services around the country and abroad.

With guest appearances and features on a variety of South African and international TV shows, Mo’s dream of sharing the art of magic with South African’s via his own weekly TV series was realised in 2015/6 when the SABC commissioned his prime time TV series titled “Magic with Mo”. The show rose to becoming the second most watched South African TV show on the channel behind Isidingo and the only international shows with a higher viewership were Days of our Lives and Bold and the Beautiful.

His passion for entertaining has been recognised internationally, featuring him in numerous publications worldwide. International publication “Gulf News” wrote “…he has now established himself as South Africa’s top magician. Prepare to be astonished”. In February 2017,

Mo Magic became the first South African magician to be featured as the cover story for the world’s largest magic magazine “VANISH”, read by over 100,000 magicians worldwide.

When asked about his passion for entertaining with the art of magic, the magician humbly responds “Sharing joy and delight with my audiences through my performances is my way of giving back to the world.”

Whilst many see him as a TV personality and leader in his field of expertise, not many know that Mo lost his father when he was three years old. He is a firm believer in focusing on the positive, taking responsibility for one’s life and living a life of joy. In his speaking engagements, he draws on his life story to inspire audiences and shares skills, insights and life lessons that have helped him live the life of his dreams.

Stage Performance This show combines world class magic, mentalism and “clean” comedy. Guests are invited on stage to participate, are respected and this is an astonishing, exciting and entertaining experience for both the participants and audience.

Mo Magic is also able to personalise his performance to include your brand, product and/or message. He arrives at your event well in advance to set up and prepare, perform, then is available to mingle with your guests and socialise.

A technical rider is provided in advance, to ensure adequate preparation, effortless execution, and maximum entertainment at the event.

Audience: 100+ (Video projection suggested for larger venues or for audiences of 300+ depending on seating arrangement)

Close Up & Walk Around PerformanceWith this service, Mo Magic arrives ahead of the performance time, mingles with the audience & performs astonishing, interactive, world class magic. He strolls amongst your guests, at their tables or walk around, performing extraordinary pieces of magic. Some of the magic happens under their noses, and in some cases in their own hands.

Whether he performs sleight of hand magic with playing cards, makes objects move and levitate, takes their watches (and returns it naturally) or creates the illusion of reading their thoughts, your guests will remember this amazing, astonishing and memorable experience, for years, as part of YOUR event.

Combination of Stage & Close Up/Walk AroundThis is an extremely popular choice with corporate clients as guests experience both performances. The Close Up & Walk Around magic is performed ahead of formalities & the stage show, later in the the programme.

Master of CeremoniesWith an honours degree in electronic engineering, several years of experience in the corporate world as a project and customer manager and a passion for engaging and connecting with audiences, Mahommed Moorad chooses to travel across South Africa and the world adding value to events through his unique services.
