Creating a Firstgiving Page

What is First Giving?

• www.firstgiving.com is a website that allows users to set up a personalized page dedicated to raising money for a cause.– Tracks credit card donations– Gives Email templates for informing others

about your page– Easy sign-up using Email account

Associating Your Page With Us

• During the sign-up process, search for “Andrea Rizzo Foundation.” – Select Location:

Charleston,RI.– Enter personal

information when prompted.

– Select a Basic Account

Editing Your Pages

• Click on the “Your Account” link on top of the page.

• Click the “Edit” button next to the page you wish to update

• You can add:– 1 YouTube video– Several Flickr pictures– Page Tags

• Or publicize your page

Track Your Donations on Facebook!

1. Add Firstgiving box to your profile by going to http://apps.facebook.com/firstgiving/ and allowing the app to access your profile.

2. Enter your Firstgiving page URL into the given box so it can be featured on your page. You can now invite your friends to donate or add your charity page to their profiles to increase awareness.

3. Click “add to profile” and then click “add” in order to create an box on your profile where your Firstgiving page will appear.

Adding a Youtube Video

• Firstgiving.com can currently support one video• To Link to our “Dream Dances On” video, enter

the following into the Web Address box:– http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMJBURUZ-TI

• To link to the report from WABC enter– http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzFcblsZaK8 Other approved videos are uploaded to

http://www.youtube.com/danceacrossamerica

Adding Pictures

• Pictures must be uploaded to Firstgiving through a Flickr Account– To add personal pictures

to Flickr, you can set up an account using a Yahoo ID (Email account)

– To add our approved images, enter the Flickr ID as “44844137@NO5” and the tags as “firstgivings”

Adding Tags

• Tags are keywords that will lead others to your page.

• Adding related tags will make your page easier to find for those donating.

• Tags should include the name of the charity and anything related to the charity that you believe that people would search for.
