Meanwhile, in the midfield, English worked hismagic with the ball, eluding player after playerwith some fabulous dribbling and passes.

But the score was still deadlock, 00 with only3 minutes left to play, when suddenly, Englishflicked a ball from behind his head and over thehead of an opposing Hades player to find Pinjust inside the 6 yards box. It was a perfectpass and Pin wasted no time with the headpunch, he had been made famous for. The ballsteered past the Hades custodian toward theV and into the back of the net. There was theexplosion of cheers from the crowd which could

be heard as thunder and lighting throughout theearth.

But play was halted for a few minutes asHeavens players were all looking down, in the6 yards box, for what was Pins contact lenswhich popped out from the header.

On resumption, Heaven contained the Hadesplayers, who were now more desperate to winat any cost, but time had run out and when thewhistle sounded, Heavens players huddled injubilation for capturing the Championship Title, thanks to Winston Pin Hewlett.

The great Nether World Football Champion-ship Final was coming up and the last two pre-vious games ended in a nilall deadlock be-tween the two top teams, Heaven and Hades.

Heaven had previously, some years ago, re-cruited one of Antiguas Hall of fame defend-ers from Empire, in Scout Christian, and Ar-den Nathaniel, a ball magician from Freetown, better know as English. But for the Champion-ship Game, Coach Michael and his assistantGabriel were looking for a man who was versa-tile and had pin-point accuracy on the forwardline.

Winston Pin Hewlett (R) and George Henry (L) with Antigua/

Barbuda National Womens Football Team in the late 80s.

They saw the player they needed for the joband thus, on May 29, 2013, recruited the great-

est Antiguan goal scorer of all time, WinstonPin Hewlett.

Hewlett had demonstrated time and time again, for his local earthly club, Jets and the Nationalteam , both of which he captained, that he couldnot only use his feet with goal accuracy butthat he could also use his head with great preci-sion.

Pin was ready for the task and although theVagabonds of Hades tried every dirty trick theyknew to score, they had to come up against thefierceness of Scout Christian in the defence.

The 13th Annual Gillian Brazier Basketball Shoot-Out has been rescheduled to October2013. The CPTSA Is soon to decide what will be the best possible date in October to hostthe tournament.

The CPTSA had intended to go ahead with the tournament at the end of June, despite thelack of regional and international teams, but Guyana has made a last minute commitment todefend its title, but would need a bit more time in raising the funds to compete.

The new date will also give the CPTSA more time in attracting more sponsorship.
