CPS Music Ensembles Uniform CodeArts Unit Combined Ensemble Performances

Ensembles participating in NSW Department of Education and Communities Arts Unit performances are required to wear a shirt, usually provided by the Arts Unit, and what has come to be known as ‘Black Bottoms’.

Black Bottoms (see below) should be worn on the day of the performance only; they are worn to rehearsals only if the rehearsal is on the same day as the performance. Rehearsals on days other than the performance require school uniform (see the other section of this Uniform Code).

CPS students are required to abide by this Code for any Arts Unit performance where stipulated. All parts of the outfit should be clean, unstained, and all holes mended. Shoes should be polished, socks must be full sized.

N.B. If an ensemble is selected to perform as an ‘individual item’, and is not also a part of the larger combined performance, school uniform will be required (see the other section of this Uniform Code).

NSW Department of Education and Training Arts Unit Concerts which require Black Bottoms are:◇ Instrumental Series at the Sydney Opera House (String Group and Advanced Recorder Consort)◇ Primary Proms Series at the Sydney Town Hall (Y3 Choir)◇ Arts North Choir at the Opera House (Senior Choir)◇ Primary Schools Choral Concert Series at the Sydney Opera House (Senior Choir)◇ Schools Spectacular at the Sydney Entertainment Centre (Senior Choir)

·

Other - As Applicable• long hair pulled back and secured with hair coloured or black bands (exceptions may be made, when
