Friday, May 4, 2018 Upcoming Events Show Choir Extravaganza on stage tonight and Saturday at North High The Northern Lights Show Choir’s presents their 20th annual Show Choir Extravaganza tonight and Saturday at 7 pm in the North High Auditorium, 2415 E. 11 th Avenue, North St. Paul. This year's show is titled "Camp Lotus Wood” and includes seven of the group’s show songs as well as 20 additional acts with music and choreography. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased from show choir members, at the door, or in advance online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/camp-lotus-wood-tickets-45352970957. Cowern Carnival features fun for all tonight! Cowern Elementary School's annual carnival will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 4 at the school, 2131 North Margaret Street in North St. Paul. The North St. Paul Car Show's vendors fill the Food Alley with great eats and treats. Bring a North St. Paul Food Shelf donation and earn a chance for a Door Prize, which are drawn all night. Other activities include games, a silent auction, cash raffle, prizes and more! Richardson Carnival is tonight! Join the fun! Richardson Elementary will hold its annual carnival, tonight, Friday, May 4, from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. The public is invited to this night of fun! Tartan Spring Guest Artist Concert is Monday, May 7 The Tartan Bands will be playing their annual Spring Guest Artist Concert on Monday, May 7, at the Tartan Auditorium at 7:00 PM. The program features Immanuel Davis, UMN Flute Professor; Jack Stamp, composer/conductor; along with the Tartan Jazz Ensemble, Varsity Band, and Concert Band. The flute soloist and guest conductor are! Admission: $6.00 - students and seniors; $8.00 – adults. This performance is the band annual fundraising concert. All concert proceeds will go to support 2019 Band Trip to NYC. We hope to see you there! Points of Pride North Junior earns photography honors! Congratulations to North Junior, Goa Yang, for winning 2nd place at the Congressional Art Competition for her photography! Her artwork will be sent to Washington, D.C. to be displayed at the U.S. capitol for the year. Goa is pictured with congresswoman Betty McCollum in front of her winning photo. Tartan Senior earns a Top 25 spot at the International DECA conference Tartan’s Jacque Englund earned a Top 25 test score for Business Administration at the International Career Development Conference held in Atlanta last week. The score puts him in the top 10% nationally for that test. Outstanding job Jacque!
